Going up in fills can be cool and has its uses!, It’s like asking a question instead of making a declarative statement

Thank you very interesting informative and i like the sense of humor lol. But as a producer its actually helpful too cuz we have to be the entire band itself every single instrument i can't drum in real life lol. I could if i practiced it n got the muscle memory but its the physical pain of doing jt and old age sucks lol. But the technology gives a nice work around with DAWs. But I have to think like a drummer which i never really did before my brother was i was more into guitar. But we both would drum on our desk at school he could come up with interesting beats while i didnt understand a thing about it lol. But learning all of this stuff working in a DAWs you have to think differently about everything lol. But thanks this was helpful. Ive been documenting my progress so far not so good lol. But it's going to at least take maybe what a year until we're able to find the secret missing key to unlock my music potential since it's not coming out the way im hearing it in my head lol.

You are most welcome. It was a crackup to make. Kind of low tech, but the stuff on the website is a lot more up to date ......www.drumprofessor.net

Well maybe it's just me but I kinda liked the 'sneak in' and the 'high pitch' fill. I mean it keeps the playing somehow interesting. I hate cliches but here is one - there isn't 'no go' if the music asks for it.

thought the same when watching that part. Gavin Harrison and Shannon Larkin are great examples for that
@mattmarkus48686 жыл бұрын
That example with Superstition...Stevie Wonder rushes and messes up but it’s great! But he’s special.

Much to offer but too slow moving and laconic for my tastes.

The Drum Professor 15 minute video to thoroughly explain drum fill is NOT too long. Lots of good info, explained very nicely. If someone doesn't have 15 minutes to really gain an understanding of any subject, they may rush through life never mastering anything
@PeterVred9 жыл бұрын
I can see what you mean, Steve, but I enjoy the easy camaraderie. It's like being there with a friend for the lesson. Professor, maybe you could scroll some text across the bottom the screen giving the viewer the option to slide ahead to the location of where things really get going...such as "Go to 6:53 if you are ADD"
