I too made a Tele style 3 string cigar box guitar from scratch. Loosely based on a thinline Tele. Wish I had your neck laminating skills though, very nicely done.

Reminds me of the 3 string Les Paul Junior I made from scratch. I have intended to have a go at something like this for some years, (have an cheap old electric) but never quite got round to it. One of theses days!

HI THERE, NOW I NEED A LITTLE HELP , ON A SIX STRING GUITAR I HAVE TO TUNE THE LAST STRING TO ''D'' OPEN . THIS IS BECAUSE I HAD A OPERATION ON MY CHORD HAND , NOW ALL THE REST OF THE STRINGS ARE AS THEY SHOULD BE BUT, IF I DROP TO A THREE STING GUITAR I JUST CAN'T TUNE IT TO ''D '' OPEN AM I DING SOMETHING WRONG .

@@PJSMYTH-h1g Hi - I don’t see any reason why you can’t tune it to D. Use a low E string tuned down to D, an A string and a D string I would think.

How do you have it tuned? Open tuning I'd suppose ..... (E, G, B........E, B, E ?????)

@@BlackBearSixTV GDG same as a normal cigar box guitar but there are no rules - an E tuning would work fine
