Love my non-turbo 2023 CX-5 that just got to the 2-year anniversary of driving it off the lot. I am 6' and I found the CX-30 cramped. The CX-50 was unnecessarily large for my needs. So I ended up with the CX-5. In 2023 the CX-5 didn't have auto start-stop (yaaayy!). That arrived in the 2024 model year. The 2023 also had Carplay, but not wireless Carplay. Wireless Carplay and the touchscreen instead of the scroll wheel input also came in 2024.

I have the base line, no leather seats or bells and whistles and surprisingly, the interior is cheap. Some of the silver paint on my door interior have rubbed off exposing the plastic underneath. My cloth seats are holding up pretty well and I plan on getting leather seat covers. Overall I've never had any major issues with it. What I've told people for a number of years now is, if you want to know what car to buy go to a used car dealer and see what cars you don't see their, like say Toyota Camry, are Chevy Impala. So pick any car you want go look and see how many there are at the used car dealerships in your city, if there's a lot of used cars like that you might not want that one? 1:10

Considering I’m more of a modern high end luxury car buyer and am willing to spend on maintenance, I would much rather a newer Lexus with 4 cylinder hybrid with the later generation of hybrid (4th gen hybrid system is soooo good) assuming budget permits As a majority of reviews and my experience test driving them has stated, the hybrid 4’s in the 4th and 5th gen hybrid system with inline 4s are smoother and quieter than the V6, with no noticeable transition from electric to petrol engine. Yes they are slower, but speed is not why you buy a Lexus
