I removed males from my social circle when I realized they would ALWAYS pick a guys perspective over mine. They are always on code and loyal to one another, but would try to emotionally dump on me or get me to do their work. One coworker called me recently and I didn't even bother to answer. He always wants to call and vent about his wife (who is a severely insecure pickme).

I noticed that majority of guys would stick to code & stand behind other guys no matter what happened a long time ago which is why I don't even waste my time. If it doesn't serve or benefit me I simply say no & carry on & don't even bother to explain why. I recommend ladies to stand firm on your "no's" if it doesn't benefit you & don't bother explaining.

Males are “on code” even at work-even if the so,an in question is doing all of the work and making huge profits for the company. The males will get together and torpedo the woman even if they go out of business as a result of it. In 2010, I brought in a billion dollars worth of construction work into the company I worked for; that was ALL of the work for the entire year. Then I got promoted in May 2011 but laid off in November 2011 and told that I was “redundant.”😂 Then they went out of business, and the guys and women who torpedoed me followed me to my next job trying to do the same thing.

I've decentered men by: Taking my money away from them, eventually I want to only buy black owned/woman owned. I don't read books written by men if I can help it (textbooks for school I can't avoid). I don't read/watch anything about romance anymore. I try to watch mostly women on YT but I'll watch men if they aren't being weird or misogynistic and I replace them with women if I can. I mirror mens behavior towards me. I focus on what I desire and like above all else. I don't worry about how my actions may benefit men, I only think about how it benefits me (& other women when applicable). I've washed them and their influence from my brain. Not done yet I know I still have some internalized stuff to work out but I'm getting there.

It feels like a never-ending job, but we have now been educated in this, and we are now ready, willing and able to work on it, no matter how hard it is or how hurtful the memories. We got this! As a kid my parents could be pretty fucking nasty and cruel and evil and abusive and now that I have nothing to do with them at all, they send me letters """"""""explaining"""""""""" themselves and how everything was my fault and the other parent's fault and I just need to forgive them. My mom would tell blatant lies or hide things in my room and go running to my Dad about how I was a wicked child so she could get me in trouble and I'd get beaten. I think I've leaned towards books, videos, etc. from women or femme-presenting creators for years. Not that I'm against reading something from a male author, unless it's something I have no interest in. There are 3 or 4 male content creators I follow, but otherwise my subscriptions and views run pretty women oriented. Funny story, sort of: Back when I first began dating, I got the idea of doing a volunteer teaching trip to Central America. My bestie had done one and had a great experience. So, after talking to my mom about it, I started doing some research to find an organization that offered such opportunities. Around this time, I had also been seeing my first boyfriend. When I told Mom I was doing the trip, even though it would mean not seeing my boyfriend for 3 months, she remarked something like, "Well, I guess you don't love him that much." As if I was supposed to put this trip that I'd been wanting to do for a while aside for the sake of him! Looking back, maybe I always kept space for myself in romantic elationships.

On a serious note, reducing male centered media is NOT hate! It's media literacy. If we are tired of unpleasant patterns in media from a common source, you analyze the rationale behind that source. Even if it's a female author. The source that is unpleasant is patriarchy. But anyone can amplify patriarchy in their media, it's just men rarely examine their role in doing so. One other genre would be romance novels, often written by women but still glorify abusive dynamics as a source of spicy suspense. I get that it's a guilty pleasure for a lot of people, but most of the time I find it boring.

While there are still far too few for my taste, the ones who are loud are top notch. The Speech Prof and Angry Biracial are two anti-RP males who create content on KZbin that immediately come to mind. Also, the YT channel Mental Healness is a BM who is a diagnosed narcissist and is “anti-RP adjacent,” as he talks about how a lot of sexism and misogyny are rooted in narc behaviors. Imho, we need to support these particular male creators because anti-patriarchy male voices and perspectives are key to deconstructing patriarchy. Males do not listen to or care what women have to say; they only value male perspectives, opinions, etc, Also: the very existence of these anti-RP channels and these male allies who create that kind of content PROVE that males being a misogynistic ahole is a choice.

From a holistic person also a caregiver, leave them the recioe for some green drinks, and leave. Her eating habits and her brothers can change & they can get muuuch better. Adults need to stop doing everything else that they want to do % neglecting their health so others have to stop their lives to take care of them. Your life matters also!!

#2 are you staying for the house that she has made sure you won't ever get? Move the uncle to a safe place, drop him off on the day you quietly leave.

I am a woman in her 50's happily married (for 20 years) child free. I was talking with a younger woman, we were discussing books and shared interests. First the books happened to be from female authors. Then i bring up a book from a male author and she tells me :"no thanks, i don't read books written by men anymore". I was stunned. I just said that she was missing out on very good stuff for nothing but in my mind i was "WTF ? That author isn't responsible for centuries of misoginy, it's not even a book about women ! Will you stop using a computer ? A car ? Because, you know they were invented by men, right ? Don't criticize a shitty attitude like misoginy if you copy the same attitude, just changing the target." I prioritize women when it's relevant. Men should still be allowed a place in our lives... if you spend time and energy avoiding them, you are somehow still centered on them.

Kings are not unemployed. King IS the job title. Imma need you to come up with some different wording, sir...

I like anime and manga but a lot of it does have male power fantasy and sexist narratives. Female characters are often sidelined, infantilized, just there for support, written to be unreasonable, helpless, to be saved/protected by a male character, over sexualized, have no honor, and all around center a male character.

Wait - "King" is a actual job. So, no such thing as an unemployed king.

I get it but unnecessary sexual assult is the norm in a country where 20% of women have been SA Ignoring it wont help

You think SA in fiction and entertainment helps somehow?
@serraangel74656 ай бұрын
@BurbNBougie Yes, it's reality. The writers are telling you who they are and how they think. Knowledge is power.

I’ve stoped listening to male musicians for the most part. Too many songs that seem directed at young or underage women. I stopped watching most movies and tv altogether because it’s mostly gross and stupid. And I’ve also had to give up a ton of podcasts because I like the horror genre, but too many of them focus on violence against women or children. It’s old. Do better. And the number of times I’ve heard them reference a beautiful fair young woman or worst yet…girl! It got gross. Fair skin dark hair all day. It got old and creepy and gross.

I stopped looking at dating advice videos hosted by men. They are giving other men terrible advice...the loneliness epidemic will continue. 😢

Yeah I feel like it just kind of developed over time, avoiding male focused media. There are very very few male authors in my bookcases, Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman are about it. I don't watch male centered shows or movies really and I just stop watching if there's SA. if you need to use graphic SA scenes in movie or television to get it across, you're a shit writer, a shit producer, and a shit director. A scared face and an ominous zipper noise is MORE THAN ENOUGH.

Jobless kingy has time to be "creative" & "productive". The author of that video was just outrightly trolling, right?
