@@dustin6528 Can't blame his family, or whoever for putting out some content. Bring out the highlight videos, the lowlight videos, behind the scenes, maybe commentary of what was going on when john shot the video. Fuck it, i'll consume whatever content they put out.

John taught me the 2 second hold for shrugs a long time ago. I have used them ever since when i do shrugs with my hex bar. I love them and man, that pause will light up them traps! Sometimes I'll even vary the pause anywhere from 2 to 4 seconds. Gotta love that burn! We sure do miss you, mountaindog1, oh so much! Prayers to your family, brother. Love.

Thank you so much for continuing to post these videos. I still remember the first video I ever watched of John’s. He was darting around the gym demonstrating his favourite calf exercises, and proclaiming that you can always tell if it’s a good gym by the sort of calf pieces it has. I’d never seen anything like it! His enthusiasm for calves (of all things) sold me right then and there. I knew that this guy was the real deal, and I’ve been here watching and learning from John ever since. Thank you John, and thank you Meadows Family!

The 3rd exercise is about all I can manage for trap work. Bulging disc's and pinched nerves cause bad strains everytime I try to do regular shrugs. But the last exercise I do with dumbbells or resistance bands both standing and leaning as shown here and get a good contraction.

So I was doing traps a few months ago, barbell heavy loaded including pausing etc. This comes to me and says I’m going to heavy and I need to roll. I tried it, felt pretty good at first. Next week did the same, but sprang my shoulder joints or something, couldn’t train for 2 weeks. Don’t roll… Maybe it works for some but man 2 weeks not training hurts deeply…
