I work for Walmart you need 30 months of experience Walmart a great company you can definitely make 6 figures working here and that’s the first year Walmart pay you for basically everything you do. I’m on pace to make $125k this year

I recently had someone write a book in the comment section about how bad Walmart was and stated for people NOT to work there lol. I always tell people, everybody will have a different experience working for a company. Some will hate it, some will like it, some will love it. It is what it is. Often times you just have to find out for yourself and draw your own conclusions. Thanks for the comment brother. Stay safe out there.

They be sleeping on the chemical tanker jobs. I work at quantix, 2300 dollars a week salary, off weekends and I typically only sleep in the truck 2 night a week since I live next to our main customers. I'm making out like a villain. I really suggest more people get away from Van so they can start working smarter and not harder.

I drive for UPS. After 4yrs you get top rate which is basically $9K a month gross on 50hr weeks with free insurance for you and all dependents, 2 weeks paid vacation, 7 paid option days, and a pension. Home every day! If you get on an OTR team route it’s about .95 per mile plus delay time. New union contract is coming next yr so pay and pension will go up. Not a bad gig.

Hey Anthony, I’m a new subscriber to your channel. I’ve been talking about getting my CDL B, for quite a while. And a couple buddies of mine have their CDL’s. One drives an 18 wheeler for Fed/Ex and makes good money, has good benefits and lots of perks. He’s been with them about 7 years. The other has his CDL B, driving a dump truck, for a small business owner. He said where he works, its a gateway to other opportunities, for just having a CDL B. At the time, About a year ago, I was really focused on getting my CDL B. So my buddy said his place would train & certify me ONLY if had my learners permit. I lunched on it and now, companies that would normally train and certify new drivers, CANT ANYMORE. New rules and regulations by the govt and (PA)state, went into effect, so now I have to goto a credited CDL school for my CDL B to drive a dump truck. I took my permit test (general knowledge & Air brakes) at the DMV one time and didn’t really do too good but every once in a while I’ll pick up my CDL book or test myself on some Apps to keep my mind fresh. Anyways, I guess what I’m trying to say is, I want to get my CDL B and then maybe later on get my A. But what I’m wondering is, I’m 50, no experience with driving trucks, fuel prices are still pretty high…so you think I’ll have a shot at getting hired once I get my CDL? This dump truck place pays their drivers about $230/day or about $23/hr, overtime is called premium pay, no 401k, steady work year long, snow plowing contract, weekends off and home every night. I’ll keep ya posted. Keep on trucking and making these KZbin videos! I’m hooked!!!👍🏼🚚

Honestly having your doubles and doing shuttles for food services pays well. Ben E Keith in Florida isnt as good as Arkansas though. 1200 weekly minimum in Florida but Little Rock averages 82,000 a year with some making 96,000 - 110,000 a year. All drop and hook. Only downside is 12 hour shifts usually driving 10 plus hours all between 4-6 pm to 4-6 am Sunday to Thursday with Friday rotation. Idk how Gordon, sysco or pfg are but average route driver pay is 74,000 a year and we are the ones unloading the cases. But its hard to get hired off the street as a shuttle driver usually have to run routes for 3 years or so and we half of ours been with bek for 5-10 years and 5 guys with 20 years with the company. Its pretty competitive too so you need to wait for one to retire.

ups hires off the street for feeders and sleepers. Depends on the terminal size. only thing is if your hired full time permanent they have to offer you 40 hours a week whether thats driving or in the warehouse you will be in the warehouse for the slow season though and get whatever top rate is in the warehouse and you can pass on work. I got my cdl in July btw. UPS in the long run is best.

Ups freight will hire off the street not brown it's a difference. Wal Mart is good but it's more like otr don't plan on being home much. And they contact alot of there work to marten,swift and maybe others. I'm sure the company may pay more than the contract companies. Marten for example advertise 1400 a week and you may layover a few times a week. That's not enough money to be laying over.

UPS hires off the street permanent full time at a few locations across the US. The hiring during the peak season(approx from November-December 31)is usually seasonal positions only. They seem to be growing faster than expected so it isn’t possible to train enough people from inside. Luckily the training is only 2 weeks to get CDL and another week actually doing productive work. Then after the 15 days behind the wheel training you will be out alone.#freedom 🎉

You're not getting a bag at Walmart it's a scam I just quit there after 7 months was going to wait until the new year but couldn't take it anymore. They get you to come there for the 110k but when you get to onboarding the tell you not to chase the money. As soon as I heard that I should've left. The only people who got it good are the dudes who've been there for 20-30 years and they are not retiring anytime soon. Being new you will either be on a program of 5-2/5-3, 6-3 or extra board. I ran out of Sealy, TX and it was dudes there for 6 years and still didn't have their own truck working on the extra board. I started on 6-3 work 6 days off 3 and wasn't making anything close to 100k, I was making from $2700-3000 max every two weeks. Don't let the numbers fool you, I was making $1400 a week local Walmart pays bi-weekly. I switched to the extra board because it was a 5-2 schedule thinking I would make more money which I did but when you're on the extra board you have to get whatever truck is available. Walmart has good automatic freightliners trucks which all the old heads drive and raggedy Peterbilt's that new or extra board drivers drive. Every week I had to wait until one of the managers do a yard check at 0730 but my pull time is 6 for a opened truck. The managers don't know shiet, I often was given trucks either in the shop or were not even there and I learned to call the shop before I look for trucks. Coming from JB Hunt Walmart trucks are trash, I know drivers that drive those trucks with the 'check engine' light on with warning sound ringing. My last load they wanted me to take a new International up to Sanger mind you it takes a awhile to load all of your belongings and then drive to Sanger and jump into another truck and load it. Fck that I quit. Walmart is not trying to keep drivers they will fire you for anything. You get 5 writeups which they call steps in a year and you're gone. If they catch you not doing a 360 around the truck they will call you in to make you miss money and write you up. Walmart is a snitch culture you can't trust any of them dudes, if you see any do everything by the book. You have to ask yourself if dudes was really making 100k would Walmart have onboarding every week?

I work for XPO logistics, their is a freight recession currently happening which is causing a lot of new drivers not being able to run any routes. Me I am fortunate to be a spotter who works no less than 9 in a half hours a day. I have less than a month and I will be at top pay which is 35.00 dollars an hour. If you have a problem with working the dock, then you don’t want to work at XPO LTL. Because you are guranteed to work the dock. No one ia excempt. Not even the drivers who have been with the companie for decades, unless you are a hostler (spotter) we dont touch the dock.

@ponypowertrucking

Walmart is bad, very strict and ignorant people working there, issues with the warehouse people. Sure bumping docks but also they try to harass drivers who are told no touch, to help them unload, stay away from Walmart did Walmart work for about a month and I was literally sick of them by day 1 UPS is the worse option, running FedEx is far more reliable and profitable, my mentor making 600k a year after taxes running FedEx as an owner op, and I did FedEx for months and they're very reliable and a starter company, everyone I've known doing UPS getting screwed and the whole thing about "work the warehouse" is wrong. Hasn't been that way for 10+ years to the best of my knowledge because I actually had to do research for my friend who wanted into it Gemini is a good gig, all the drivers are happy but I can't get any info on pay from even their drivers (is there a non disclosure with them?) My top 5 picks are #1 Oakley transportation up to $400 a day as a tanker driver or a little less regional/local, 50-60cpm dry van/reefer, and south Florida groves work no logbook $2k a week average 2 Estes LTL 74cpm is a serious pay and they pay for hotels if you do long distance in a daycab, some people solo can get sleepers Crete/Schafer 68mph truck, and to the best of my knowledge 63cpm (supposedly just went higher so may be outdated) but I've known enough people who have personal experiences with them it's a great gig even for a mega Combined transport, they have van, flatbed and oversized load. Well rounded family of companies under combined transport, can't get pay info but do know a driver under oversized who has done van in past, and makes good money, up to $10 a mile company driver (so seems like owner op pay but none of the expenses) other than that no info on them besides they treat their drivers well Bynum transport, lower pay no hassle tanker, no pump. But if you do your job you'll never hear from work besides getting a new load usually. Great job Ultimately these companies that offer less than $2000 a week are clowning you if you're making less than $1500 a week you are literally stealing from yourself staying at your job. If you make less than $1000 a week=steering wheel holder You are worth at least $2000 a week after tax if you have 1 year experience

I appreciate the information you shared. However, I’ll have to respectfully disagree with your statement “working in the warehouse is wrong”. That’s actually how it is where I live. I have friends that work for UPS locally & have been there over 10yrs. According to the comment section, I see some other guy’s saying the same thing. I also see some saying, they will hire off the street where they live so that tells me it’s different everywhere.
@ponypowertrucking
@ponypowertrucking Жыл бұрын
@@imanthonytv I could definitely agree it could be different elsewhere. I know older people who worked for ups who that was the case, but for example where I'm at you can apply directly as a driver I already know places are different based on region procedures, for example FedEx in the southeast still has a lot of COVID restrictions but elsewhere they have no restrictions, different regions, different management branches and concerns for sure
