I'm amazed at how just these two videos has helped me in a short period of time . I been playing for at least 20 yrs in church and that 56351 pattern and the 736 pattern were those little patterns that you hear but you buzz right over ,but , you played them in a line and pointed them out I just wanna say hats off to you .

Hello, when you want to learn how to play a song on the bass guitar what should you do first? Should you put the bass aside and learn how to sing the song first and when you are done learning the song then you move on by learning the bass lines of the song or what?? Please reply me

Hey Morgan Merry Christmas Sir! My Christmas present this year? is finding your KZbin channel. I really appreciate what you’re doing with your channel. I grew up in church playn country and traditional bass and I’m currently playn modern church worship but my heart wants to move into your style of gospel groove where you can feel it! Thanks for including the play along track and for breaking it down to the granular level as you do. Blessings to you and yours this Christmas Day! Peace

Why do u use the 4 strings bass to play worship?? Is it good compared to 5 or 6 strings
@JermaineMorganBass4 жыл бұрын
It's a matter of preference honestly. I use 5 and 6 strings. I used 4 string just to make it easier for beginners to follow the lesson

What gospel songs would you reccommend solidfying and applying this progression over?
@qqq-pu4iy3 жыл бұрын
What you should actually have been teaching is the entire thing you played in the intro. That's what we all wanted to learn

@JermaineMorganBass4 жыл бұрын
I believe that what you're referring to, I actually start explaining around 6:29 where I start talking about lead-in notes. Outside of that, It's just octaves and ghost notes.
@SP35640SNAKE4 жыл бұрын
You wanna pay attention to root changes which usually occur on beats 1 or 3. Between the beats he's mostly just using a note a half step above or below the note he is going to. Hope that helps. Learning walking bass as well on keyboard

Pat Bassman Hi my name is Patrick from the Sea of Galilee Israel , I am reaching to you guys to get more information on Gospel bass players. I am a Luthier and i make basses by the Sea of galilee ,Tiberias Israel , i have only been up and running a short while and thought perhaps there is a community of Gospel bassists I can contact that would be interested in my basses. I have my own designs but still would be interested to know what the requirements would be for a fine Gospel bass . I would appreciate any help or interest in my work and of coarse protentional buyers , perhaps there is a facebook group I can contact , Thank you.
