Hey TIP: You don't have to use them on every individual channel if you don't want too.. You can actually use it on just the BUS.. or the MASTER FADER!!! I did it last night. It still sounded dope as hell. I was actually creating a track. I put it on the MASTER at unity.. learned about 8 bars. And boom it sounds nice and quiet. DOPE Peaceeeeee

True, I show how to use it on master as well in this video.

Difference from Neutron 4?
@vcodev108 Жыл бұрын
What do you think about this plugin compared with Neutron 4, do they both does the same job or they can compliment each other, please share your thoughts.
@audiotoolshed Жыл бұрын
I wouldn't compare these two. Monolith is volume only, so mix balance. Neutron adds eq and compression and so on.

@@audiotoolshed Do you think we can use together?

Sure

Will this work with the setup group that smart eq3 does or is this a either or situation. I do understand that mix monolih doesnt eq but trying to see if they can work together or against each other....
@audiotoolshed Жыл бұрын
The plugins wont see eachother so you have to set them up individually. If you want to use them bith you have to be very deliberate where to use what.
@royalinvasionproductionstv6370 Жыл бұрын
@@audiotoolshed Thx for the reply!!! I understand they will not interact with each other but I meant will they conflict as smart Eq 3 grouping is dealing with frequencies...will it throw the mix off if using mix monolith grouping for the volume in the same project.

What kind of CPU power do I need to run those plugins on a mix, say 25 tracks? Does it manage an i7 on Windows and 32 ram i Cubase PRO 11? To get all the benefit it have to run on all tracks including groups.

It manged its self on my 120 dollar pc .... with a 9 year old cpu and 8gb of ram soo.... enless u got a peace of garbage that can't even play a KZbin video ur good

total valid question, if you are having issues, you can group kicks (if you have more than one) everything that you have more than one into a bus and then add the plugin this should help. I didn't hear anything about ARA usage which would be nice as well.

Hi, after your video I bought Mix Monolith but when loaded inside the DAW the gui is all black, no way to use it, the sound pass through, no crash, but unusable.. Tried in Win 10 (with the integrated intel gpu for graphics) in Reaper, bandlab and Cubase, same issues.. In Reaper there the optio to use the alternative Gui and it shows many commands but not with all the same names of the original Gui. All other plugin haven't thise type of visualization issues. Any tips/ideas to help me ?

Best to reach out to AYAIC. Reads like a graphical compatibility issue.

For me its CPU light. I would check on your own system.

If have only one stereo track beat do you need put this plugin on this track?
@topchartvideo37763 жыл бұрын
I don't understund very well what does this plugin. Adds It a preset on every instruments? Adds It compression and equalization on every track? Or it's just for gain stagin? It seems so difficult.
@audiotoolshed3 жыл бұрын
Gain staging by using presets which are “common practice levels” with a bunch of handy tools added.

Yup, it does do volume ducking though.

Depends what you need of course. If you need to do bulk processing of the same often, this plugin is great.

to me it seems like you are not saving a ton of time, so why should i prefer this method over the "classic" one? off topic: i really like your shirt and pretty much need to buy it :)
@audiotoolshed3 жыл бұрын
Hey! Well if you need to have a lot of automated mixing, like bulkmixing a lot of audio all of the time, this will provide you with a framework to get very consistant results every time. But if you dont need to nothing beats the classic method. For beginners this plugin will also help to get you in the right ballpark, balance wise. You can't get MY shirt, i'm somewhat attached to it, but you can get your own here ;-) shop.spreadshirt.com/white-noise-studio

cool video! if i have a beat stereo channel what preset is recommended? and do your recommend inserting plugin on the first or last insert? Many thanks
@audiotoolshed3 жыл бұрын
Explain ''beat''. Drums? There are presets for that. Plugin is best first and then do otehr processing. You could even a second at teh end to be 100% sure the level is correct.
@khalilroukoz3 жыл бұрын
sure thing! a beat meaning as in a stereo channel instrumental that i load in the session ! example if i bring you a wav instrumental that i want to sing over for a karoake , well that instrumental I'm use to calling it a beat my rap lingo lol, hope it makes sense cool i will try that i purchased yesterday and an awesome tool and great,quick leveling. Thanks

it can be pretty simple. add one to every track, pick a preset, press learn, let the audio play and press ''mix'' afterwards. From there you can do complicated stuff but basically it's just that.

I do not see the point of this plugin. I mean as a mixing engeneer it is my task and pleasure to move the gain slider on my own to get a great Sound. Hornet has way cheaper great sounding gain staging plugins, wie a less apealing gui, though.
@Fwuzeem2 жыл бұрын
Seems like a lot of work to go through and preset everything then wait for it to listen to the whole track. Couldn't you just use the normalise with LUFS -24 instead? If not then use a chart to look up the levels you want. It's painting by numbers though, which is not good really.
@audiotoolshed2 жыл бұрын
It has a sort of ''ideal'' loudness build in for every sort of audio.
