0.75 oz / 22.5 ml Mr Black coffee liqueur
0.75 oz / 22.5 ml simple syrup
0.5 oz / 15 ml cream
1 egg yolk
WHITE RUSSIAN
1.5 oz / 45 ml vodka
1 oz / 30 ml Mr Black coffee liqueur
1 oz / 30 ml half-and-half
FROZEN MUDSLIDE
1 oz / 30 ml vodka
1 oz / 30 ml Bailey’s Irish cream
1 oz / 30 ml Mr Black coffee liqueur
3 scoops of vanilla ice cream

You can substitute one coffee liqueur for another coffee liqueur if you like.. you may have to adjust your sweetness accordingly..

No offense to Mr Black because I actually love that stuff... A White Russian really needs Kahlua. You need that sugary rum-like flavor to balance what should be a dessert drink with that cream.

Im always surprised when people use mr black as a one to one replacement for kahlua in a white russian. I would think swapping some or all of the vodka for rum when using mr black would be closer to the usual kahlua and vodka spec.

I made several White Russians recently and I found it much tastier with more coffee liqueur than vodka. Mr. Black is not available where I live so maybe that is better than Khalua, but I found even with equal parts the vodka made it too thin and watery. I also made some with eggnog and that was pretty good. I’m going to have to try these other two recipes.

that was not a white russian tbh. would have been better to just add the cold brew, shake the cocktail, serve it in a coup and layered only a bit of cream on the very top. which is an espresso martini. but would beat the heck out of whatever u made lol. (sorry) rest were good.

Hey Steve, another great video. Another way to enjoy the White Russian is by shaking the Cream, Milk and Vodka then layering it over the coffee liquer in the glass

When I was working in a bar, we served the White Russian in a Martini Glas - double strained. It was like a Black Russian but layered on top with full cream (shaken or flashed). Guess it was quite elegant, because you always get most of the spirits and a little bit of cream. Till today, my favorite way to drink a White Russian. And of course, always looks cool. High recommend.
