View as the Ductless Plus Team installs a Mitsubishi Mini Split Heat Pump System in a Garage Office and two bedrooms in a beautiful home in Parker Colorado. Several Contractors had given our customer estimates and NOT recommended ceiling cassettes for this solution! Ceiling Cassettes Cosmetically make more sense in most situations because of the advantages that Jared covers in this install. Be sure and watch the Customer Testimonial at the end.

I have 5 ceiling cassettes, they look great. I absolutely didn’t want holes drilled into the sides of my home with lines run along it to the condenser. My 5 lines all come from 2 holes in the attic. I have one wall mounted separate unit in the basement.. All Mitsubishi. Love the system over conventional whole house HVAC..

Great Job... Important for clients to see the mess it is to run piping (or work) in an attic with blown in insulation. When they say "how much to install?" Now they no why. Only concern was in the intake to the condensor (air) in in front of a dryer vent. Guess that makes for a customer that will always need the coil cleaned

That's a combustion Air vent not a dryer vent. Thanks for watching.

You can see the other Combustion vent down a little from this one. They want 2 combustion air ducts to the furnace.

I’ve watched many of your videos and a couple of months ago they convinced me to get the ceiling to sit in a multi zone Mitsubishi system. I went to the only diamond dealer in my area and they recommended and installed a system with two 9K ceiling cassettes in my roughly 860 square-foot basement because those are the smallest ones they could get. They said they couldn’t get the 6K ceiling cassettes. And a 24K Wall mount unit for my garage. The garage is only about 560 square-foot, but I want it to be able to bring the temperature down even if I pulled a hot car in and the company and myself thought that the 24 would do a lot better than 18,000 that was there before. All of this is run to a NTXMMX36A142AA 36k 4 port outdoor unit. The issue I’m having is that I cannot get maximum cooling from my 24K garage unit without turning off one of the basement units. I can only get about 56 to 58° air to come out of the garage unit with both basement units on if I turn one or both of the basement unit off the air coming out will get down to 46°. If all three units are on and set to 65°, the air coming out of all units are around 56° at the coldest. The company is saying that there should be no issues with that 36K outside unit even though the inside heads equals 42K. My question is, are you of that same opinion or do you think they should have installed a 42K outside unit? I’m just trying to get my stuff operating properly. Thanks for any advice you can give.

@@ductlessplushvac great. I’m not sure how to handle this because I’ve spent $26,000 getting the system installed. And I know they’re not going to want to replace that 36 with a 42 and not charge me more. If they want to do it at all and admit it was a mistake.

Some of my rooms don’t have deep enough ceiling joists for these units and the HVAC contractor is suggesting to just box them out 2-3 inches under the ceiling - thoughts on if this will look okay or am I just better off going with a regular wall mounted unit? I think as long as one side is flush to the wall it’ll still look better?

Could you have run a branch box in the attic to avoid running 3 line set runs down the garage wall and out of the house?
@ductlessplushvac
@ductlessplushvac 2 ай бұрын
We could have but a branch box system is very expensive and the outdoor unit has to be a 36k or 3ton unit for that. So it would be a bit overkill they only needed the 30k or 2.5 ton system saved them several thousands of dollars $

These ceiling cassettes look amazing. I’ve been told by everyone in the area to run a gravity fed drain line and not the pump fed lines. Because pumps clog up and flood your ceiling/wall and floor. Is that an option on a ceiling cassette? To have a gravity condensation line? And have you ever had any problems with the pumps failing and making a problem? Thanks

@stepside2839
@stepside2839 Жыл бұрын
@@ductlessplushvac 🤔wait.. …Let me clarify… … when running the lines through an inaccessible ( for a person ) crawl space One could access an entrance to the inaccessible crawl space and connect & push the pvc pipe over the joists to an ‘accessible area’ to make it possible for the lines to pass through the inaccessible area. I was curious as to the diameter of the pvc that would be required to allow the lines to easily pass through to the accessible side. Once the lines reach the accessible side, then one could pull the lines to the air handler. It would be a ‘real fun job’… … well, maybe not 😄 Did you guys ever have a situation like that?

@@timgroh8616 not with a ductless unit unless the room was very large. You can use in-floor heating. You typically don't require conditioning in a bathroom. If you take a shower you will heat it.
