Advanced learners should be able to use the language in a way that is: Playful Expressive Accurate Synonyms of complain 1. To groan - /grəʊn/ Complaining or making a deep, long sound that shows pain or unhappiness. 2. To moan /məʊn/ Persistent complaining or to make a sound of pain, suffering, or another strong emotion. ‘When I was late to film for Love English Leila used to moan at me’ ‘What do you moan about?’ 3. To whinge /wIndʒ/ to complain, especially about something that does not seem important. ‘The children were whinging about eating their vegetables’ Synonyms of laugh 4. To titter /’tIt.ər/ to laugh nervously, often at something that you feel you should not be laughing at. ‘There was an awkward silence in the room at the beginning of the presentation, so a few people tittered to break the ice’ 5. We have a lovely holiday which is a spring holiday and known as NOVRUZ and celebrate 21St of March , people usually gather and dine . Many of them particularly gorge to mouth-waterring national sweet . I mean we as population feast during holiday.

Thanks much Sabrah, I really like to hear 'often' being pronounced with the T, only two other teachers I follow pronounce it like this (besides you) 🙂 Does it make sense to use 'to rage' in this sentence? "The African anticyclone always manages to rage the temperature: it's so hot today" 😓

Hi Sabrah, An interesting and informative lesson about Advance English Verbs. I sincerely admire your efforts. With the help of your lesson I am able to know many other new words and their meaning. Homework: 1. Sam's jokes make you groan rather than laugh. 2. A similar moan of surprise and horror ran through the crowd. 3. A titter went around the van, everyone looking at me if I were some kind of animal. 4. Her parents will never acquiesce in such an unsuitable marriage. 5. I cannot condone the use of violence under any circumstance. 6. It is not polite to eavesdrop on the conversation of other people. 7. Journalist do not divulge their sources. 8. The bank continue to prosper. 9. The fall were in a deep gorge. 10. His voice trembled with rage. Thank you.

It was an amazing amount of vocabulary that can help us in various ways and fields in life, for rage I think I know it as a very highly spreading thing or very chaotic, like this pandemic we're all experiencing, I also know rampage might be similar to rage in this context, I hope I'm right, please be my guest and correct me if I'm wrong!

Before you go out to (fine )dine or/ and hang out for a drink 🍷/🍺 with a company it’s advisable to book a table avoiding of becoming angry not getting one at the pub/restaurant etc. therefore a lovely evening might end in cry😢 or sob 😭 these days in England....🧐🤔🙁
