I know I won't have time to publish them all, which is why your opinion will help me to prioritize my efforts. ------------------------------- The Clamper: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4PGaI16h8iaqLM Turning a Tree into Perfect Boards: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqLdZ2d7gdCrmqM -------------------------------- Friends, for your convenience I assembled a chronologically arranged list of videos about my efforts in establishing this log cabin camp in the off-grid remote location of Karelia (All Seasons): 01 episode - @ (1 season) 2014 02 episode - @ (1 season) 2014 03 episode - @ (1 season) 2014 (not translated) 1 episode - @ (2 season) 2015 2 episode - @ (2 season) 2015 3 episode -@ (3 season) 2016 4 episode -@ (3 season) 2016 5 episode - @ (4 season) 2017 6 episode - @ (4 season) 2017 7 episode - @ (5 season) 2018 8 episode - @ (6 season) 2019 9 episode - @ (6 season) 2019 10 episode- @ (6 season) 2019 -------------------------------- My Patreon page: @t

I enjoy all your videos happy to take them as they come. One or two thoughts on how you might have created the round portal in the cabin.....drill a center pivot hole through logs, then use a custom compass attachment (pivot rod, parallel to chainsaw bar) clamped or bolted to the chainsaw bar. Arranged so the saw is spun around using thin plunge cuts stacked radiating from the center pivot (not going deeper than halfway and repeated on from other side), then the thin biscuits broken away, after the bulk of material removed a final light finishing pass rotating the saw around the pivot at half depth log diameter.......well......that might be how I would tackle such a problem with the tools you have at hand (hope that made sense) . Cheers keep up the great work

Porthole - on the wall, I would put a straight stick into the centrepoint of the window sticking out, the top of which is level with the wood beam, then attach a string to draw out the arc of the window. The pencil would have to slide in and out of the loop to account for the rise and fall of the curving surface of the logs. Once that is marked out, I would use a curved chisel to start carving it out on the inner edge of the pencil line. I think a curved chisel, alternating with a straight wide chisel would do the trick.

@Propsman416
@Propsman416 3 жыл бұрын
@@Advoko I don't know if you've answered this question yet, but I would have found the centre of the window on the wall and made a compass to draw the circle that described the cut. The "pin" side of the compass could be segmented so as to be collapsible, while the marker at the end of the radius would maintain the proper angle and distance to keep drawing the desired circle as the compass pin moved deeper into the cut. That is, the compass would not only draw a circle in a straight plane, but would be able to draw this circle on a plane that slid toward the wall as the cut progressed. This could be as simple as having the pin be a spike that was driven deeper and deeper into the wall as the cut progressed, but maybe it would be better to have the spike pass through segments of a tube that were each, say, 1cm long, so that the circle and cuts would be more predictably progressive and more accurate. At a certain point the compass would have to be moved to the interior side of the wall, using the same centre hole.

Bush furniture sounds very interesting to me.... albeit I did find Your log cabin and chainsaw vids extremely interesting, being a girl, don't think I could do it on my own, lifting heavy cut boards and sods onto a roof :) I have made the odd, and very sturdy, tripod bush side table, and just recently had a tree felled, and got the fella to cut me a table top round from it... Have just recently bought myself a chainsaw too!!! So Your chainsaw video was most informative and helpful... So facinated by all Your videos, ever so grateful to You Max (and Your parents :) ) I think the vid I was most surprised over, and will make, was Your bee bottle vid... LOVED IT!!! Have kept an Australian 'native bee' hive for the last now... they live in one of those orange roadworks witches hat... and are quite happy and produce very good honey.... not as thick as the normal honey bee's honey, but none the less tasty... I think another good topic, would be different styled frameworks for growing food... and covering with 'flyscreen'... for protection from insects, grasshoppers and rodents... am in the proccess now, but I am using plumbers piping (15mm) and connectors, with a brick perimeter base, and cover the whole thing with flyscreen... Much love and gratitude from Australia... P.S. ThankYou.... for planting all those beautiful tree's... I love tree's.... my most recent tree I have planted was a macadamia nut tree... and have sprouted 20 lychee tree seeds, which I will care for and plant when big enough...

A high ´treehouse´ or just a safe comfortable platform can be lashed between the tops of several suitable trees. It makes a precious viewing and resting place at the layer between the forest and sky where birdlife and the trees atmosphere concentrates at times. But any construction at height surely demands climbing gear, rigging and special discipline to be carried out - single handedly.

Chainsaw, mallet, chisel for the window, fairly quick to get done, once you know what you can put in the hole you find similar window and a bit of elbow grease.

I have to admit, i think the FUTURE on this planet is for people like you! Back to the good old times, were less was more but still got a lot accomplished. Other then watching ANYTHING, getting inspiration from your videos (most in Russian, but VERY interesting) i need to say, i wish there would be Guys like you, who are actually Men's men, you'd be worth every sin to have as a partner of crime. Well done, GREAT Video. Reminds me of my childhood in Bavaria, a chainsaw then, was a luxury! 👍🏻🙏🏻🤗
