That 'create a weapon' dude might not be the most powerful legendary for any specific deck, but having a neutral finisher that can be put into all decks really pays off in this format.

Fun format. I've had ideas like this for other games in the past, anything with progress that lets you duke it out. Really takes the guesswork out of the 'do we meta or not' decision of friendly matches, when both players are the same dinky low level, it's all down to intuition.

I've noticed that the key to predicting the winner in Rarran's series is to predict whoever he plays to win. As far as crafting, crafting a Neutral Legendary was a superior strategy to crafting a Class Specific one.

I love the idea , just one thing though for the next time you try something like this again. I believe having to use the cards you pulled makes it even more jankier , the idea of disenchanting cards you pull to make the best deck makes it less fun. But over all great concept 🎉

This was fun. I think a "Prince vs. Pauper" challenge would be fun. One player can only use Legendaries, another only commons. Battle of the extremes! Rares vs. Epics could be fun too.

We did a similar thing with friends at the release of witchwood. Just 6 dudes on their phones doing the monster hunt solo play and crafting new janky decks for new account to then battle with.

This was fantastic, made me want to try it honestly. It reminded me a lot of that challenge Kripp did YEARS ago where he built a deck out of a few packs and had to climb with it. I distinctly remember him pulling Lord Jaraxus and building his entire warlock deck around it.

hey Rarran I think you could do a series of videos with someone starting from a fresh account and opening 30 something packs from each expansion and making decks with them with sets of rules for crafting cards and whatnot. Solem had a series like that with Dekkster back in the day and it was really fun!

Cool idea, however I think disenchanting and using dust kinda ruins the vibe tho cause you can just craft very strong meta cards instead of it being like MTG Draft. Still good video tho :p

If it's possible to get a group of people together for this you should do a mini tournament of like 4 people with a losers bracket. The 2 first winners play each other while the 2 losers play each other, then the winner of the losers bracket plays and loser of the winners bracket and whoever wins that game plays in the finally with the person who won the first 2 games.
