Don't over dry your skin! If you have oily skin like me, keep it gentle with your cleansing. Use only one product with BHA/AHA, don't abuse it, don't hate it. Let your skin breath for a while. I have really clear skin these days, and I see my blackheads disappear only by using my low pH COSRX cleanser, a tea tree toner and moisturizing. 3 times a week I use the COSRX power liquid as a chemical exfoliator and in the next morning I have a shower and after that, use a clay mask in my nose and chin. My blackheads, for the first time in my life, are slowly fading out.

Love these videos. 💙 I started really getting into skin care at 18 and I'm now 29 (omg 😣) 1. Sunscreen, everytime your out no matter the weather conditions. 2. Protect your skin from the cold and heat. 3. Take fish oil or cod liver oil 4. Be gentle with your skin. Pulling and too many scrubs will give you wrinkles, especially near eyes. 5. Maintain skin pH 6. Drink water and eat healthy fats, lots of dark green vegetables and dark colored fruits. Lots and lots of healthy protein 7. Eat anti inflammatory foods, drink tea every day, use supplements to fight inflammation 8. Sleep, good quality sleep..
@leeleesale5 жыл бұрын
I started skincare really late...really really late, sometimes I wish that I start earlier. 1. Always started simple; 2. Double cleanse; 3. Retinoid acid works like miracle compare to some expensive "anti-aging" skin care. 4. Sunscreen...a lot of sunscreen. Re-apply every 2-3hours (the puff of cushion actually great for re-applying sunscreen on top of the makeup). 5. Don't wear makeup everyday- your skin vacation from makeup too. (Actually I'm in the stage of where I'm comfortable enough to not wear makeup everyday- easier for re-applying sunscreen)

I started being concerned about aging at age 10 bc I have wrinkles under my eyes. I obviously now know that those are genetic, but since I've been aware of and reading about skincare from such a young age it paid off. I knew that it's far easier to prevent damage than to reverse it. Now I'm 35 and haven't a hint of eye creasing. Even though my skin is oily, I use a lot of hydrating and moisturizing products. Never skip moisturizer. I use one or two (or three) kinds at a time. Discovering K-beauty was almost life changing. We used to go to the YMCA sauna in my teens and there were always Korean ladies there, with wet washclothes covering their faces. It was obvious they knew how to take care of their skin.

Good tips, especially the sunscreen one. I don't wear suncreen but since I've been wearing my baseball cap everyday I've been noticing a difference in my skin.

I am starting skincare at 32 ..... and even though my skin is far more damaged and scarred then I d like to admit ...but the self love you have mentioned is surely paying off . The only annoying thing are the breakouts that I don't expect . The only thing left now is to cut down stress , dairy and sugars. ..it's that simple ..😒

Just found your KZbin channel and I am really enjoying it. Yes, a theory to makeup techniques. This video is a wonderful reminder for skincare and I saved it to refer back to in 2020. Appreciate the effort and honesty that you put into your content. Greetings from across the pond.

Hi james! I love the way you speak btw. I follow some other youtubers who do content (only the ones with substance of course) about skincare but youre the first one i wanted to comment on. These tips youve shared is so spot on for me. I think im doing 90 percent of what youre doing. 😊 a year ago, ive stopped my skincare routine for how many months since i figured it wasnt making any changes for me and if there was, it was for the worst. Acne worsen and my face was so full of marks. Oily and very visible pores. So, ive stopped it all. Even washing my face at night. I also wanted my skin to be able to breathe from all the things ive slathered onto it. Last decembe 2018, i decided to give a try again. Im wiser now on choosing the right products that would suit well on my skin. I realized it wasnt working before because im using all the wrong products. IT PAYS TO READ PEOPLE AND IT PAYS TO WATCH BEAUTY/SKINCARE VLOGGERS. You just have to be wise about it. You dont have to believe everything they say. Its just important that you know your skin and what it needs. Some of the products im currently using are not even the hype ones but its works on me. Biggest compliment so far is when my blessed with great skin friends start asking me for recommendations on what to use on their faces. Hahahaha btw i have an additional tip too. If you cant avoid touching your face from time to time, sanitize what is often on your hands like your cellphone or ballpen.

Completely agree with you about Korean and Japanese skincare and especially sunscreens. Won't go back to western skincare either.
