Thanks for the comment. I’ve had my ZT260 since 2015 and love it. They certainly are cool even if they can be expensive to keep on the road. Thanks for watching the video.

I'm a proud Cornish-boy so to see a channel with Cornwall in it is a must to subscribe, and being a car lover it's a win win. But that's not a cornish accent, so are you cornish or a emmit
@cornishcarcollectors Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment Phil, it is good to hear from a local. Non emmit here, born and lived in Cornwall most of my life (with a short break when I moved upcountry for a bit of school and work); been back nearly 30 years! I think on these videos I must put my posh, telephone voice on! Anyway, thanks for watching and for subscribing... hope to hear from you again in future videos.

Touching distance to what could of been, the brand needed uplifting but bmw made it more budget than ever then the phoenix 5 money grabbed and sealed the deal, asset stripped there was no chance not even china was silly enough to take the whole shooting match on even though it could of been profitable it was run at a defisit on purpose to asset strip it while giving bmw its market share win win.

The money bmw left in the bank was peanuts to the mini brand they got they developed and used the valve train tech too saved them £€$£€$, crazy the mgtf never got the turbo varient or its hybrid conversion, easily diy for under £3g been electrical based im so tempted to emulate it make a sleeper hybrid track mgtf but i have to live in the real world unfortunately.

Great video Sir ! I was in love with.... England from the first sight ! When I was a school boy in primary school, the first time I saw U.K on the European map , I imagined that this country was unique & special ... Later , after I learnt England's glorious history , I was sure about one thing..No other country in the world will ever achieve what Great Britain did... Thanks a lot for your joyride with such a nice car..

Thanks so much for watching my Kernow300 roadtrip - when I made the videos I was unsure whether people would indeed watch, so it is always great to receive a comment from someone who enjoyed it. True stars of this video though are Cornwall, which is lovely, and the MG V8, which is incredible. I appreciate the support and I am sure you are quite right about England. 👍

Thanks for the comment and for watching my Kernow300 video - I made this because I fancied doing the drive and it is always great to hear from people who enjoyed watching and feel like having a go themselves. I know Gunnislake well, only 15 or so miles from me. Volvo Amazon is a cool car, as is the ZS180 - you'll find a video on my ZS180 on my Channel. Thanks again for watching.

Great video Penntorr. I'm just over the border in Devon with #159. Best car I've ever owned, love thundering round the fast A roads of Devon and Somerset. People always asking "what's that?!". A real "Q-car, street sleeper". Saving up for a supercharger to go ZT400!

Thanks for the comment and good to know of another 260 in the Southwest. As you say, people often look past the MG to see what’s making all that lovely noise, but those who know know! Thanks for watching, stay tuned for part two coming soon.

Thanks for the comment. The sound my MG ZT makes really is amazing; sounds even better in real life! My car has the XPower exhausts, which were offered by MG Rover as an alternative to the quad exhausts. Love that rare Ford V8'd MG. The overall look is slightly similar to my 2001 Aussie Ford Falcon XR8 5 LITRE 295hp V8 ! This model had the last, and most powerful pushrod V8 Ford Small block engines they ever made, and is Hand built ! After these they went to the modular family, like the one in your MG !!

@cornishcarcollectors2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment; great to know you enjoyed the video. If you want a 260 then do your checks before you buy one as they tend to rust underneath (mine needs some work in that area sadly), plus check the clutch is okay (it's an engine out job to change it), suspension, brakes, etc. as it can all add up on the V8s. Find the right car though and you'll really love driving and owning it. Thanks for watching and please do tune in for Part 2 in a week's time!

Parts supply is a tricky business in this collector game, custom is the only way in the end and like you say its expensive having the fancy rwd bits sourced and shipped from the states.

Proberly see modders in the end use the dreaded bmw parts converted give the old girl paddle shifting.
@cornishcarcollectors2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. Parts supply (and cost) really is the challenge as the ZT260 ages, but thankfully TwoSixties.com is active and an extremely good resource for owners. Thanks for watching. 👍🏻
@shedeen2 жыл бұрын
It's actually part of the fun trying to get the bits for it. Yes, some are expensive like the front shocks (yes mine have collapsed) but in the context of overall life time running cost its not too bad. Owners group is brilliant (Two Sixties). Helps if you have LPG. I paid 59.9p a Litre at Sainsburys Taunton this week. No I don't own a time machine, that's UK 2022 price!
