Wow, that Snap On cart looks really nice! Tekton is my favorite tool brand right now, it used to be Kobalt, but they have been going down the drain lately. I have the 3 piece set of non quick release ratchets, they are great, much better than the Kobalt junk ratchets I used to use. I also have several other Tekton tools, Ive had no issues with any of them. Im going to be starting my automotive apprenticeship soon, and most of my basic hand tools will definetly be Tekton. I like Snap On, dont get me wrong, but im not paying $200 for a single set of sockets or $500 for a small set of wrenches.

Milwaukee wrenches are better but yea i agree about the box part. I had a 5 drawer box that I got brand new for 1100 dollars and I was only able to sell it for 500. And just recently I bought 6 drawer service cart from matco that needs some work for 200 bucks which makes me realize you’re just paying for the name. I can pick the lock in my matco box in less than 30 secs which is ridiculous since you pay that much money to store your investment in a safe place.

I've decided to go with Tekton everything for various pliers, ratchets, sockets & maybe even screw drivers. Originally I wanted Knipex pliers but a set of those will cost more than the Yukon rolling toolbox I plan to put this all in from Harbor Freight. I shouldn't have thousands worth in tools in a $330 toolbox.

Don’t get me wrong snap on is great but I’m in between the starting out on trucks to pro so the middle man lol I have beat on harbor and tekton beaker bars (dknt have any snap on) and was amazing how both of them could handle a beating I bet I put about 200+ tq on the 3/8 tekton bar. Just amazing company and most there stuff is American made they have been based in America for years too Judt great tools would like to try out more of there 1/4inch stuff right now I got a bunch of the 3/8 sets including most there ratchets I got for Christmas but I mean love all three harbor definitely don’t have that good of a name but my biggest love for there tools is they make great carry tools my tool box on both my trucks don’t lock so I don’t kind leaving cheap tools in it or letting people borrow them they all have there place but to be fair I really like harbor new 1/4 line up there flex head has a extremely low profile and has got me out of pickles for 1/4 the price vs snap on same tool

I like to stick w USA made stuff I have a lot of Williams USA, Wright, Proto, and the tool trucks. Williams USA are identical to snap on and Williams Taiwan is the same as bluepoint only 1/3 the price on both. Go to toolsdelivered.com. All the USA stuff is previous gen snap on. The stuff w numbers and letters in the part number are USA made and all numbers is Taiwan. The prices will blow you away.

You're a nice kid and I love the fact that you're actually in a trade, unlike others at your age who spend their time "protesting"... Here's my piece of advice: You keep talking about Snap On as if it was a God-sent... It's NOT. This brand means nothing outside of US and my strong believe is that it's only regarded as being great here in the US, because of the BS the truck people are trained to tell you, on one side, and the environment in repair-shops on the other side... You want to show-off with expensive tools, or you might believe that pulling an expensive cart will get you better job. Again, this happens ONLY in America. Nobody outside the country knows what Snap On even is... My approach to tools is totally different; I don't give a fuck about Snap On, or any other US brand for the same matter, even so I kind of like the Tekton approach. NOTHING and I literally mean NOTHING compares to German tools, end of story! You want great (not good) tools, you get yourself a kit of GERMAN MADE TOOLS and you will be able to pee on anybody who uses Snap ON or whatever other crap there is. You mention PLIERS... Well, the pliers have been invented in Germany and the brand which actually did it, still exists; it's called KNIPEX and I'm sure you heard the name before. Those you can call pliers, not this crap you got for $150 or the other carp with the blue handles... Screwdrivers??? One name: WIHA! Second choice: WERA! Sockets and everything related: STAHLWILLE! There are US made pliers I like; the long reach needle nose from CRESCENT, called X2. This is something you will be able to use to reach deep into a narrow hole like the bore for a deep seeded spark plug; you can't open it a lot because of the narrow space, but it will open completely at the tip - very nice design... If you do steel-thread inserts for spark plugs, that's what you might want to use... The one you show here (the free of charge one) is worth exactly what they asked for it; nothing! Have a good one, stay smart and stay safe!

Great tools and nice video. As an electrician for over 30 years, I would strongly suggest you check out Klein for pliers and cutters. I like the Tekton stuff. My top tier ratchets are all Matco (one is a Mac toothless, comfort grip,flex head) and my big box (and I mean BIG) is also a Matco. I have found Matco to be as good or better than Snap On for quite a bit less $$. The one warranty I had on a used 3/8" ratchet - I called them to buy a rebuild kit; they just shipped for free with just a model number.. There are other TOP TIER brands besides Snap On. And from horror stories I heard of warranties being denied, I look elsewhere, personally. Just my .02.

@fuckjewtube695 жыл бұрын
That's a bullshit myth. You can literally buy a known stolen scanner from someone and trade it in for a newer scanner for a great deal. They don't check shit. Vin number on your box? If you're that paranoid just remove it. What do you think they're going to do? Take your box away? No. In reality they would have to go to court and prove the box has a lien on it which they can't prove if you remove the serial and can't do shit about you removing the serial number and they don't bother. It would cost them more than the boxes value in lawyer fees. They will actually make more money taking your stolen trade in and getting you on a loan on a new tool/tool box. That's the reality. Don't be scared buying used. And also they can't just walk in and check the serial number of your box on private property. Just tell them to fuck off away from your box. They're not the government.
