Ever since the new generation of "car enthusiasts" started meets it's been hard for me to even go to meets. So many people trying to get everyone in trouble and doing burnouts and donuts in lots and intersections......that was when I called it and only went to personally picked out meets. Car scene just isn't what it used to be ten years ago. People were actually interested in everyone's cars....miss the good ol times 😂

For the dash cam, you could splice into the 12v power for the dome light instead of routing to the dash.

But that's a constant power source. The dash cam will drain the battery. It's better to wire it up to a switched power source like the radio.

Im happy i got to make the event. The funny part of watching someone drop a micro rc car on your mini drift track was hilarious and awesome. However, It makes me sad to see that all these tracks, which were key points of interest in most of these cities are being shut down to appease people without appreciation for our passions.

7:01-7:30 me-"wow, that was pretty good", PrizzaMike -"that was terrible, I need a redo" 😮 The wooden steering wheel upgrade is very cool. I'm on a budget, so the best I could hope for is finding a factory Toyota/Lexus three spoke steering wheel from a junkyard car and swapping it over to my 3rd gen 4Runner for that 'upgrade' feel 😂 That's really nice of someone buying you a dashcam. It really is a very worthwhile investment. I consider it as a necessity for ALL drivers. I've been in a few situations where it was good to have a dashcam should things get ugly (thank goodness it's been civilized) That is wild regarding the insurance claim denial. I definitely would not let that go. I kind of wish you hadn't removed those sideswiped scratches though. In my opinion, you have a witness and the cops gave their customer the ticket, so that is definitely more than sufficient to file a claim. They just being lazy and trying to get out of paying you for the damages. I wish I could go full "Friday" the movie mode..."aww, my back ... My neck and my back!!"😅 I would be at a loss for words too. Not jumping to conclusions, but I met at least a few folks in my life where the child was the polite and considerate one and the parent was the crook. Boggles my mind and got me thinking, "this person must have been raised by their grandparents or relative instead". I don't know the guy, but the benefit of the doubt since in this life, we can choose who our friends are, but we can't choose who our family are.

Car Scene and Car Culture is what you make of it... you don't need a huge scene or a big group of people / followers or whatever to have a great time with cars. You can have an awesome time with cars if you have just a few good like-minded homies that are on the same wavelength. Car people are everywhere. Some are undiscovered car people that like cars but have no idea how to get into the car scene. Find these people.. help them.. grow them.. and others will come. As far as tracks closing down.. that's just a fact of life. Many small tracks are generally run poorly from a management and financial standpoint. Hopefully it's not bc the city shut them down or they sold to some greedy developers...so they only go away for a little bit. Then someone new comes in and picks it up.. and with their new interest in the track.. they make good improvements and try their best to accomdate the people that love going there. It's happened many times down in Ga. Later.

SAME thing happened to me. A lady hit my Evo and drove off. I called the cops, gave them her plate and car description, and the cops confirmed it. Her insurance said it couldn't be proven so I had to get the cop to send the write up to them. Finally they paid up.

I think the car scene will just keep migrating to low-population areas. Sure, some tracks are closing... (out here, most notably is Bandimere)... but, I think younger entrepreneurs will float to the top and make new places for the scene to go to. Or at least, that's what I'm hoping for.

im a car guy, but dont go to many meets and such as i have a truck but i race at the tracks that hold some meets and drift events. for car guys/girls, and us racers, it sucks seeing tracks go away.
