Thanks Guys for an excellent review! It’s about time someone did something a little different than the usual. The Ford Territory is a great car which we don’t get to see many of. Barras are great,the turbo version is even better,but nothing will ever come close to the sound and rumble of a small block Ford V8, growling a big bore dual exhaust system. Just the sound of the motor breathes joy and enthusiasm it’s sure to get heads turned and the blood pumping,real hard. There is a ton of potential,for any V8 vehicle and the list of mods, power up-grades and further enhancements are so very unlimited, It’s not impossible to see a large car like a Ford Territory improved for race,torque,horsepower and excellent quarter mile times, once a great reliable V8 has been installed between the chassis rails..... A great conversion,in anyone’s language,even the top brass at at Ford Broadmeadows and their senior brothers at Dearborn,Michigan would be proud of this Australian manufactured and later modified SUV Congratulations to the Father and Son team,who had the vision,passion,skill and knowhow. This project is probably only at the beginning, as I’m almost sure that later power upgrades and modifications would probably be added at some point in time, not too long from now! Well done fellas,I would love to see a follow review video of any modifications to the Windsor and C4 transmission and above all how much better she skids around,with a nice dose of extra Ford V8 horsepower!😄😄

The AWD 6 cylinder in those (or possibly a bit after that one) was quicker off the mark. For the extra weight of the AWD they gave it a lower 1st gear and it was pretty good from a standing start. Performance dropped off once you got into second and beyond though.
@ESISTTIGER Жыл бұрын
I hear you but with the BTR 4 spd they didn't shorten first but in rwd they used 3.73 diff and in awd they used 4.11 diffs the transmissions still retained the same ratios as the falcons No matter what diff gears you get, the BTR 4 spds will always start dying out in 2nd How ever in 2006 with the introduction of a ZF 6spd auto rwd went down to 3.23 and rwd got 3.45/3.46(depends on variant) and they are slightly faster than the 4spd BTR n/a XR6s and don't seem to want to stop

actually u dont necessarily want less weight in the back of a skidder, it depends on the power and suspension setup a lot more, 5 degrees negative camber at the back can offset a lot of weight since you are removing contact patch. heck when i go for a skid i move my spares from the front of the tray to the back so it tips in and swings around more violently
