I liked him right away. Maybe its because I'm socially awkward too so I was kind of translating his words through my own filter. It seems pretty clear that when he said "I'm here to try out for American Idol obviously" he didn't mean it with any malice, but was simply trying to make light of the fact that he didn't have some elaborate story as some contestants do. When socially awkward people get nervous, they tend to try to break the ice with witty or sarcastic remarks, but sometimes it goes wrong like that.

Most *unprofessional* audition ever: guy is very talented and has a great voice, judges losing their minds and getting personal with statements such as "you have a bad energy", "don't like you" and "you need a spanking". I think what a lot of people don't realize about being socially awkward is that you can often come across as having a bad attitude. People expect you to act scared or weak, but when I'm in an uncomfortable situation I just get pissed. I can't imagine waiting for 3 hours, already being in a bad mood, having no idea when it's my turn, and then suddenly just shoved out there and told to sing and immediately called an asshole for not being happy about it all.

Things wrong with the judges: 1) They judged him over his social skills NOT his singing. Isnt this a talent show? 2) The girls claim they don't like his arrogance, yet I'm sure they have dated men like this in the past lol. Girls love arrogance, Kara seems attracted to him. 3) The man apologised for his sarcastic comments and seemed genuinely hurt how he came across to them. To me he has either an anxiety disorder or Aspergers or both. I think he was tense from waiting so long and couldn't handle the pressures of auditioning or being on TV, he clearly had no clue socially or how to handle himself publically. Shame on the judges for being so narrow minded.
