In this second episode on perhaps the most notorious assasination in world history, Tom and Dominic look at the bloody and chaotic aftermath of the death of Julius Caesar. They discuss the fate of the senators turned assassins, their failure to restore the institutions of the republic, and the ensuing civil war that brought about the first emperor of Rome.

I know episode 304 is missing, but this story needs to start with the tribune of the plebs, Marius and Sulla.

Dominic makes the valid point that the fall of Rome was an inevitability because of the stretch of power, wealth, and the usage of a government that wasn't suited for the empire was all bound to implode, and I wonder if that will happen with America and China.

I wish they would have mentioned that when Antony had Cassius over he joked with Cassius about having brought a dagger with him and Cassius replied I do have a dagger and if you act like Ceaser you might get to see it. Not a very joking friendly kind of guy lol
