Seeing this thing get done in plastic with the Age of Darkness box nearly brought tears to my eyes. It’s a Land Raider - already perfect - and BIGGER. All the stuff this thing can take, equip, and carry across the battlefield is absolutely glorious. Top 3 tanks, right behind the Baneblade and just before the Kratos. Friggin love the Spartan

I use it in 40k, not for transporting tough. It's just sitting there, killing things (like a Stompa) and refuse to die. Once it survived seven 5+ saves on 1 wound, after that I gave it the name "Unbroken Faith" It is my second favourite in my army, after the contemptor named Demetrius 😊

As a 1st legion player, i have a relic spartan that was in attendance of the burning of the last church. A mural free handed on its side, is now the personal chariot of marduk sedras, lord of the 23rd order, and master of the dreadwing. It has a free hand hourglass of skulls on its other side, the iconography of the dreadwing and honor markings and campaign badges of Sedras. The spartan is a joy to paint and assemble.

Ive just recently found you this past month and binged a great many of your videos. Your joy, the focus on fun, the self developed stories to fit in the universe that inspires you and of course the deep lore dives. All of it reminds me of the energy of the hobby when i first started getting into it back in 5th ed. I will admit i fell away as a lot of the fun seemed to fall away for a time but i am back in, catching up on what ive missed and you help remind me what drew me to it in the first place. So, I've started (for a few months now) the HH storyline. I'm almost at the gates of Terra now (well, actually more than a few more audiobooks till I get there). But in any case, once I'm done with the most important parts of the 30k lore I'm definitely going to start working on lore towards the actual (closer to current 40k era) and finally get back to watching your content, as you know I consider you CANNON :D Anyways, just dropping by to say hi to my favorite skjald.

My Spartan tank originally belonged to the Imperial Fists and saw battle during the Siege of Terra. It was later lost on a forgotten battlefield, only to be found by my RG successor the Genesis Vultures. Much like their name sake, they scavenge battlefields for equipment and lost relics, and so tt's been restored in the chapters colors but does honor its original owners with a small Imperial Fist symbol upon its hull.

As much as you're right about it being too much an investment/risk in 40k... We've got the plastic kits now. Give them points! Give them points! Don't know why I'm after this, not sure my entire Craftworld Warhost could take this down with 10 termies aboard. And it's nice to have distinct flavour for the 30k game - I don't have a channel to do well enough to get a heresy army, though!

You might think Spartan tanks would be repurposed as mobile command centers for protracted missions using smaller numbers of Space Marines or IG. I mean Space marines can only carry so much ammo, parts, or heavy ordinance.

These are only the base vehicle and any afv is vulnerable to the right weapon and tactic. It’s possible other equipment was involved ie munitions stowed inside.
