Hey man, love the videos. They are super helpful. I’m 16 weeks post op for this injury and the front of my knee is still really tight/stiff when I stand and walk. It’s hindering my gait alittle bit. Did you experience any stiffness in that front repair area that far post op? I can almost feel where they attached the tendon but have read this goes away with strength training. I’m even wondering if it’s scar tissue. Thanks bro!

@@chrisreed3358 hard to say if I had the exact same feeling but I believe at 16 weeks I still had some stiffness in my knee and walking still felt a little off even though it may have looked normal. I feel like even though I had plenty of range of motion it took me a long time for my gait to be completely normal again.

Thanks for sharing your recovery journey. I am post op day 2 and trying to get an idea on what I can do in the coming weeks and post the 12 week mark.

First couple weeks are pretty slow. After that I would focus on range of motion and then whatever strength exercises you can do mostly to muscles besides the quads like hamstrings, glutes and muscles in the lower leg. You can do light exercises for your quads as well. Then it seems like the 12 week mark is when they generally take restrictions off for weight training so you can start to really strengthen your quads at that point. It's a very long process but if you stay positive and work at it you can get back to being active.
