You should get someone in to take a look at that garden path Justin 😉. Also I’m a DIYer could you explain exactly what you mean by “turn of a bubble” when getting a fall on a patio.

I'm not a handyman by any stretch of the imagination, let alone a tradesman, as you know Justin. Seen a couple of videos of skilled guys working for other people (subbing) and seeing and hearing similar stories to yours about getting ripped off and let down and so on. Anything like that leaves a nasty taste in the mouth for sure. Happened to me in my working sphere and just made me so determined to work for myself. Best thing I ever did and like most of us, wished we'd done it earlier. Just so glad you turned out to be on the side of the righteous after that experience, lots of guys have gone the other way haven't they? At least you know Frazer and Jay will be well set on the good path after your tuition. Well done that man. Why is it that wives' chairs are built to the perfect 'workbench' height?

Hi Dave. Yea id never turn to the dark side .Ive payed people and gone short myself thats the way it should be .Pay what you owe first .People no thats the way i am and ive got mutual respect from it.Its right isnt it but some people always push the boundaries its greed and a lack of respect. Everyone is different but there's only one right way to conduct yourself. We can sleep easy at night Dave . Take care mate good post thanks pal . Justin 👍🙌

Nice new profiles Justin, did you say they were from BT Engineering? I have a Husqvarner cutter and the dust must have gotten inside and scored the piston and it's too money to repair it. What size are the profiles? Also I have a pair of Mustang profiles which are far too heavy and they're rotting in the garden🥴Take care bro and enjoy the Bank Holiday ☔fingers crossed for a better day tomorrow ☀
@brickrightbuildinglandscaping Жыл бұрын
Hi chris. Got them from bt engineering web site 50mm x 2m about £20/25 i think they were also bought some clamps really good chris and easy to set up .had a few disc cutters over the years thats happened to mate .not cheap now are they .👍👌🧱🧱

Hi justin i always use 4"x 2" timber for my profiles and a few scaffold planks and clamps works a treat to keep them upright and square look Forward to seeing you put those up haha if you can remember!

When I score my profiles I score them.on all 4 sides because the mortar just filles them up and you can't see the lines after a while but having the option to use all 4 sides gives you more options, also when you score them only guage one profile and clamp the rest to it so you arnt setting each one up it individually it's alot quicker to use your clamps and do one big strike with your score like hope that makes sense mate 👍

I've invested loads into the BT gear mate it's absolutely brilliant tbh gives you alot more time to teach and take apprentices on!! Well worth the effort, I've even welded up my own clamps and designed them to fit straight into the foundation so you don't need dry brickwork below best thing I've ever done but I'd highly advise the BT equipment, it may cost but pays for itself in the long run!!!
@brickrightbuildinglandscaping Жыл бұрын
@Liam Brennan Just bought a few bt clamps dori blocks etc and yes used them very good. Only thing i will say is the blakes you can joint up with them on got to remove the box profiles to joint but its all easy enough Liam. Thanks mate good to talk with you. Send me a photo of the clamps your on about 👍👌🧱

The path 🤣🤣 i no Duncan .Turn of a bubble is when the bubble of the spirit level reads on or just passed the line so not level .This then is the fall thats works for most patios .👍
