You don't realize how tight 311 really is as a band until you try covering this simple-sounding song. You need to be very precise with the drums, and you need to fight the urge to rush on the bass with all the stops it has. Their precision is so underrated.

@@JeffHuntsinger complexity is not the only determining factor when it comes to the quality of a bassline or a bassist. Groove is an equally important part, a bass player who can slap or shred all day but has no idea how to groove is much worse than a bassist who can just groove in a pocket. Tl;dr, just because this bass part is basic doesn’t mean it’s not great. Serves the song immaculately. This and tool are two completely different vibes, it doesn’t do to compare them

Happy 51st birthday Guitar player, Nicholas Lofton Hexum April 12, 1970. Madison, Wisconsin. Played in the Jazz band in a Nebraska high school. And made it big. Lesson learned. Big things come from small beginnings.

One of the great things about living in a big city is the live music options that are available. I was working in the Loop and these guys played a pop up live show in Daley Plaza probably around the mid 2000s. I still remember stopping by on my way to the El standing in my suit just jamming out to these dudes.

If that's the case I'll still have to disagree when there's bands such as blonder , alvaays , Banes world , summer salt , wolf Alice , knox fortune and many more . Man, I love these guys. I remember hearing them at my brother's for the first time on my first leave from the Army. And Amber came out right before we deployed to Iraq. We listened to it all the time.

Yep, Love the Mu-tron. Smooth delay as well. Looks like mit is using his Maxon delay at the end there, and I think that is a nova delay next to that. Diamond cabs, Spitfire heads, He has changed his pedalboard a bit as of late. So excited that he is bringing out the Uberschall for this tour.
