I think that this Car is the best Compact FWD 6 Speed Manual Transm. Performance Track Car of the World, thanks for the Review 😀

Brian! I've been waiting for your review of this car and your take doesn't disappoint! Previously you recommended the GR86 to me over the MX-5 but my heart is actually set on this Type R. I can comfortably haul my wife and two young daughters in this. The elephant in the room is the Integra Type S... a bit more money but I'm not totally sold on it... thoughts?
@BrianMakse Жыл бұрын
Thanks, pal. Yes, it's a fantastic choice if you need the space...and space it has. I need some seat time with the Integra, but I think I'll end up favouring the Type R. We'll see!

What a great car. What a great review. I don’t get tired of listening to your feedback and great driving skills. I like rev matching lol, I am lazy. Fake exhaust noise they need to get rid of that feature. This car will demand strong money years down the road. Definitely a keeper.

Glad you enjoyed it, Paul. Excellent car.

What's your take on this Type R vs the previous gen? Are you going to be able to get your hands on the Acura Type S?

Better in every way! I'm sure I'll see the Type S soon...

I read a 24 Ecoboost Mustang review and the as tested price was $44k. First thing I thought was that the civic type r price now feels reasonable.

This is the better buy dollar for dollar but I think it still suffers from severe ADMitis.

The lack of a handbrake in this is a no go for me.
@1anre Жыл бұрын
@FurkanCemTurfanda you want to take the handbrake to a market or what do you want to use it for?
@FurkanCemTurfanda Жыл бұрын
@1anre I want a handbrake for handbrake turns, especially in a fwd vehicle. Also, a handbrake can save you butt when things go sideways.

Imagine if they offered a DCT like in the Elantra N. Would prob be even quicker.

It would be and while I appreciate that Hyundai gives you the option, a dual clutch would open the Type R up to far too many 🤡 🤡 🤡.

I think due to styling and that ELS audio, I would go for the Integra Type S.....but the local deal has a $12k mark up.....$64k, unreal.
@BrianMakse Жыл бұрын
Well, let’s see about that. The dynamics of the A Spec are less than ideal.
@93455Driver Жыл бұрын
@@BrianMakse I think the Type R will handle better than the Type S, maybe they went for more comfort in the Type S.....but in the scheme of FWDs hope both will be winners.
@BrianMakse Жыл бұрын
That’s what they did with the A Spec and it’s a dynamic disappointment relative to the Civic Si.
@93455Driver Жыл бұрын
@@BrianMakse Ah, understood! Hope you get to test an Integra Type S and see if they got it right or wrong this time.
@1anre Жыл бұрын
Brian, didn't know the A-spec was that flawed in its driving feedback compared to my Si. Always just thought they were cut from the same cloth, and it was simply just an anesthetics diffetence between the 2 cars only. I've been seeing many more videos on the Integra Type S, and it's starting to just grow a little on me compared to the front fascia of the Type R.

Interesting to know you're based out of Canada too. You should've organized a meet & greet with subscribers by now

It's an idea. For three years, though, Canadians were afraid to breathe the air, so that wasn't going to happen.
