Excuse my tone, I'm a veteran with utmost respect to those serving, but that's the same work minimum-waged guards do at my condo. I suggest other MOS's with transferrable skills for outside employment. Want to be a cop, great. Don't waste your time with MP or taking criminal justice. Computers, 2nd-language skills, hazmat, accounting, EMT, research jobs, PT, and many others will help. My nephew has a degree in chemistry. He went right to crime scene and made detective. Those with mechanical skills get marine bureau or aviation. Electronic jobs help get polygraph technician, do wiretaps, and special gadgets. We got a search warrant to install a wiretap in a politician's office. Despite 24/7 security, our electronics guy bypassed alarms and we snuck in and bugged his office and phones. Military police and cooks don't get special attention. CID or OSI may help. Not checking ID cards at gates.

I would really like to do this job. I was diagnosed with asthma in elementary school. It is very well maintained. I work at a job as of now that is very physically demanding and do many physical activities. Would I be able to join? I live in colorado also

Since you are in the national guard, is this full time? Do you have another job?

It depends, you can be an M-Day soldier drill one weekend a month and 2 weeks a year for annual training. You can be on ADOS Orders or One-time occasional time orders (OTOT Orders) which are full-time orders. We also have opportunities for Mil-Tech soldiers that work full-time as a federal employee with the Colorado National Guard

Colorado is home to the 5th Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne). You're able to enlist into the unit in a support role, or can attend a Special Forces Readiness Evaluation for the chance to attend Special Forces Selection to become a Green Beret.

Soldiers can hold multiple Military Occupational Specialties (MOS). The Special Forces patch would be because this NCO serves under the 5/19th Special Forces Group, which has a Battalion within the Colorado Army National Guard.

@@wamainachomba2024u have to become a US citizens or resident first, then you take the ASVAB and go through a medical evaluation, soon you pass that you will go through basic training and now become a United States soldier and government property

We can tell by his patch that he is attached to a SF unit.. everybody is the unit is required to be airborne because its a airborne unit... even the cooks. I have seem them

Being in an airborne unit will generally mean that a servicemember will get sent to airborne school at some point!

You can enlist wiith an airborne option...there are only a few airborne units in the Army 82nd, 118th Mp Co. I was one
