Today Marcus drives a 2012 Volkswagen Golf R that's been tuned to the owner's liking.
The headlights and taillights have been modified and switched to match the Euro-spec model. The engine cover is from an Audi TT RS with a custom R badge to complete the look.

its stock at 270hp here in norway, and comes with dsg tranny optional. why a difference? 310-320hp with. ecu tune. got my black edition today, will be a blast with a ecu tune🏎👍

I really like this review but i think stage 2 at the crank is on the very low side lol I had an Mk6 Golf .:R that was stage 1 w/ full bolt-ons and was about 300 whp, stage 2+ is about 330 whp

LikeABosnian even that's high for crank numbers hes confused or high. Check my picture I have a mk4 r32. Ecu flash, cams, headers, high flows cats milltek exhaust, intake. I hit 199 stock and 230 to the wheels with mods. This dude is high if he thinks he's over 300hp.

Which vw exactly did you get stranded in? My dad drives a 99 Passat 1.9 diesel. Currently 420 000 km on the clock. The thing just keeps going and going lol.

+immoralityMR2 Not too loud, especially when you're in boost. I adjust the exhaust audio separately from my voice so we can basically make the quietest of cars sound really loud or vice versa. I try and keep it true to how it was. Outside the car though at WOT it gets pretty loud.

You need a well sorted MK2 gti or an older scirocco on this show. Not stance nation but 1.8T swap, good suspension maybe an LSD.

Golfs unreliable? I live in Australia and own the very same mk6 R and they are reliable as ever. I have owned subarus and every japanese car under the sun and they all gave me problems. There are so many golfs in Australia because they are so reliable.

Hey trucks are great . Everybody should get one for when they need a truck once a year to help their friend move! Forget spending money on something that gets great gas mileage, and is one of the best commuters you will ever drive. Waste gas and buy a truck !
