Down4Sound really hit it out of the park with these and I hope they make a crapload of money off these and demonstrate to the rest of the industry that there is strong demand for high quality modern amps with old school looks. It's like JP literally listened to all the complaints about other amp's design flaws and fixed them. First thing I noticed was the spacing between each power and speaker connection. Next was the connections themselves....power and signal. Like you said, these are some of the best looking RCA connectors I've ever seen in car audio. The amp's preamp stage and the adjustments are just plentiful, they are useful! I know you said the power reminds you of the Orions but to me, the colors and rounded sides, remind me of U.S. Amps and if they decided to made some badass class D amps. I don't know how they could possible compete with these though. I realllllllllyyyyy want to hear a stereo version, 2 or 4 channel and just do some real world good old music listening for testing! I recommend always keeping the box and packaging for any expensive electronics. Amps, subs, phones, computers and parts. Never know when one is gonna fail and be under warranty or need to be sent off to be repaired in general. I literally just went through my room of boxes (yeah its a good sized pantry full of boxes lol) and got rid of a bunch of my computer stuff that's no longer under warranty. Sad day really lol. It was a pretty penny I paid for all that cardboard and styrofoam!

Why yes... Bumpeth it does indeed. 🤣 That is a real clean looking amp, to include the internals. Really dig the plexi under cover. What is the design intent of the knob having slow ramping to transition volume? I don't get it...

@@wal you know what. To this day I appreciate the craftsmanship and quality of build with the old skool stuff. My daily driver I've got a clarion apa 4300hx and for the sub just an alpine mrp m500. But I've owned zapcos, phase linears, orion, Phoenix golds, and my favourite Rockford punch 150 from 1990 ish. Just something about these amps that just has a much better experience in sound presentation. Anyhow I subscribed to the xtras channel. Salute big d

I haven't watched this channel in awhile. Been too satisfied with my skar amps and subs. My Grand Marquis has developed issues that can only be caused by extreme bass like the window regulators falling apart inside the doors and bulbs frequently burning out from excessive vibration

We're quickly headed toward something I predicted a few years ago...1000 watt amplifiers the size of a wallet or even a credit card. We're not there yet but, it's coming. Such a great time for those into aftermarket car audio. Lots of power for pennies per watt. Crazy the way things have changed since the late 80's.

It’s linked only to the chips it’s by 5.0 so you can’t swap pair unless you disconnect like a by speaker with 5.0. I designed it and its also bluetooth certified

It's funny how amp's are going the other way now, we went from joker way overrated amp's to quality way underrated amp's, i seriously think JP d4s should rate them a little closer to there actual power output. People will buy them thinking they are close or around the stated power, and build a system around that, just to possibly have their subs blown out because the amp is WAY more powerful then expected.. Just a thought. Great vid Big D👍
@wal2 жыл бұрын
I don't have a way to drop my voltage into the 12's with my setup currently, but I'd tend to bet this amp will do it's rated 3300W in the high 12's and unfortunately many people who buy these won't have sufficient electrical and will see voltage drops to there or lower

I was told it’s the first all surface mount design Korean Half Bridge. This helps keep it more compact. The heatsink is thick and active cooling works well
