When I purchased mine 7 years ago, it had major failures within a year. Not sure if construction has changed but my 12-year-old Peavey 6505 has had zero service and still runs like a champ

And you paied 3 times more for the Peavey, right? You get what you paied for! ;) Nevertheless, i bought two 333XL in 2008 and had no problems whatsoever. It all comes to luck when you buy cheap.

Probably the only Buger i may be willing to try out, if its distortion with OD in front can make a sound like a breaking glass, then its a keeper. By the way why reverb instead of resonance knob? Thats a weird choice.

I think it's mainly the cheap tubes they come with, ,my non infinium 333XL stock power tubes went out a while back but other than that and the High Gain input jack breaking I never had any issues. I ended up finding a Marshall JCM 2000 TSL 60w head for a few dollars more that it would have cost me to get the Bugera running again so i'm using that now but my son and I both play guitar so I am thinking of reviving the 333XL that way we can make some dual guitar stuff. I found on Amazon a JJ's tube kit for $100 for the power tubes and preamp tubes and a guy who can bias it for me for $40, oh yeah that's another thing i've read from users is one of the major problems with older models (before mine) was the factory bias settings were too hot and the bias control on the amp didn't work right or something like that ,so if you got the non infinuim ones you had to have your tech set the bias to a proper range.

Well I'm definitely getting one of these whether the 333 infinium or the 333xl ( but that little xl costs around 200$ MORE for a built-in noise gate,booster, and dual input) so I'm REALLY leaning towards the non xl version ........... I guess it's gonna come down to whether i get another stimulus payout before I get 400$ extra dollars scraped together lol ..... But either one should sound good through my cheap line6 412 cab ( though I'm already thinking of replacing the celestion speakers with jensons) .... I already know that I'll be swapping the tubes out anyhow so again I'm leaning towards the cheaper NON xl version ...... But also have heard negative feedback on the built-in noise gate as being fairly ineffective HOWEVER the vids I've seen seemed to tell a different story ( though you never know what ElSE they have running through it) ...... But i have effects processors as well as pedal boards with ALL kinds of noise gates ,eq's,compressors,delays,etc,etc ALL i REALLY need are the TUBES lol

Because the stock bugera tubes are just shit. Retube the amp with quality tubes and you will have less issues.

I used the stock ones for a while and they never gave me any trouble the only reason they got replaced is cause I wanted groove tubes in there instead

If I need to switch channels using a Boss GT1000 with 4 cable method, what cable should I have to use to control this amp? I bought this amp, sounds awesome but I need to switch channels

Can you put Electro-Harmonix 6CA7EH tubes into this amp? Says something about being Triode or something instead of pentode but says is compatible with most EL34 amps.

Hmm...my 1973' SOUND CITY 120R has 6 EL34's...I figured it is more like 150 watts, but sounds like 200.

0:47 Seriously - who's using line out in the studio? Come on guys... Either a real cab with mics in front of it or a reactive load with IRs. Nobody is using line out, especially not in a professional studio!
