I still have this amp after many years... Greatest amp ever made! One thing I had to do... High gain was too high low gain was too low... Take a guitar cable unscrew the sleeve and jump an 84k ohm resistor between the 2 wires. Use high gain input afterwards. Best middle gain of both inputs! The clean and distortion channels will extremely complement each other. Anyone who has this amp give it a try and reply back! 👍🔈🔉🔊

I don't know how they miked that demo, but, they're making that awesome amp sound tiny and bad. Man ! We're in the 3rd millennium. Anyone could demo audio equipment with a sufficiently good recording equipment, and without busting the bank. Believe me ! That Bugera 333XL Infinium sounds HUGE, and is absolutely great for any genre, not just metal.
@ehs03y3ol5 жыл бұрын
In fact i felt it to be a pretty bad demo. He tries to approach it to a metal amp, wich is totally not, at least without stompboxes, her gain is still too low. Any way I don't know couse is a bad decision put this amp with TS speakers which are a legacy aproach for clean V55 like's Bugera's. Even it seems that he can't mic up properly the amp. So it's totally miss oportunity to view a decent review of this amp.

Philippe Durel I’m thinking of getting it. So it would seem this amp is awesome and stands up to 3k engle’s and the like. Is that true? It’s either this or a 6505 1 by 12 combo. I think this is a much better value. They are the same price

I gigged with a band whose guitarist used this and it was waaaay too much gain for metal, metal guitar tone isn't about cranking the gain all the way up, your sound will loose all definition and become a mushy mess. This amp definitely has a good metal tone in it, but not if you are gonna dump a load of gain on and kill your sound. I used to gig with an orange rocker verb and never had the gain past noon. It was enough for a groove metal tone.

Sadly, just about any clean channel sounds better than the 6505...If you want a great tube clean channel and nice ballsy distortion for cheap, get an old Peavey Valve King. If you need more distortion, throw a tube screamer in front of it...or you could just get this amp but I'm not yet sure if its cleans are as good as the valve king.

I had the 333XL combo. Brilliant amp indeed, but I would not call the crunch channel crunch. So much gain for crunch even when you back off the gain knob (and the guitar's volume knob) which makes it really unusable for the AC/DC type of rock tones. I now have the Bugera Trirec, more flexible, but honestly the high gain tones I could get from the 333Xl were far more superior. If it's for high gain and clean, but not crunch, and 120W I would buy the 333XL again with closed eyes. But nowadays I 'd be leaning more towards something smaller and with more features for the same money (eg, Boss Katana). Or if it needs to be 100% tube power (and needs to be cheap) maybe something from Jet City or a Laney IRT.

Very nice clean sound, Hi Gain is close enough but it dont hit the G spot. I wonder why they dont make the Bugera Trirec Infinium anymore. From what I heard in peoples youtube videos its more towards my sound when playing in Hi Gain. Anyways for that price its the best buy for the buck at this moment. I just dont get that company and I can absolutely not understan why they stopped making the Trirec.
@Totone564 жыл бұрын
Probably legal reasons to be honest ... The TriRec was a Mesa clone, this is a JSX clone, the 333 was a XXX, the 6262 a 6505 ... Mesa Boogie probably wasn't happy about it. Seems like Peavey doesn't care though, haha as the 333XL and the 6262 are still sold

These amps are notorious for burning up a molex connector on the PC board, where the power transformer plugs into the board. Clearly the amp design team never once actually bothered to look up the contact ratings on the connector type they chose, and compared it to the power that'd be going through it. Just slipshot design work. I get 200 bucks to bypass the connector and hard wire the transformer to the board on those amps that are affected. (That's all of them if they're this model.) This amp also suffers from the dual problems of being too complicated and not actually sounding all that great once you get past the newness of it. It isn't terrible but it's much more fun to plug into a good old Marshall that's a simpler, lower gain amp, because the Marshall has the right tone from the very start.
