Frank, I live in the area and know this mine well. Was going to do my own video of it, but you beat me to it, Anyway, you got a bunch of stuff incorrect on this one. This started as one of my relatives claims. He staked it and started development in the early 2000's, there was no previous mining on this claim. The older mascot mine is further away, it was in the 50's or earlier, but was an entirely different operation. No overlap The mine in this video was a venture from a local mining company and ran a few years in the early 2000's before closing due to not being economically viable. There's been proven bearite in this mountain forever but all the leads pinch off quickly. I guess they found enough showing and in drill samples to give it a try, but still wasn't enough. This is not a very old mine, if you tried to get there in the 70's, there wouldn't even have been a road. The first time I went, there was way more equipment left as they had just shut down, this was around 2004, over the years they've taken several scoop trams, generators, compressors etc out to other operations, auctions, etc. On my first visit, it looked like they just left, still water bottles at operator stations, coveralls, etc. I'm still making my own vid next year, you could at least give me a shoutout

Frank &Sharon I worked as a Diamond driller back when CP 55 @65 were used for Exploratory Drilling then later as pillar reduction on old mines .Frank you have expressed you know little about Diamond drills well I worked for C.D. P. all over the US. Then I was hired by Dresser to help them with the old Screw Type deep Diamond drills plus the new Hydrolike Drills as, It may mean nothing to you but I would like to set up a diamond drill area in your mine. I'm 74 now but have taken many old RV's into Mines in in the western US. I think this demonstration with a Geo person could show Newbies why we have to explore in underground mines I let me know I could probably get most of the equipment from my old constituents in USA & Canada. Just thinking ??? Jonesy 49.1

I will never tease her again about it. Sharon you are one tough human being. You beaned that rat in the head and didn't let it chase you. My hat is off to you! Lived in Golden briefly fall of 1970 and met a couple of hard rock miners that worked at that mine. Very heavy duty drinkers/party types. I recall them getting paid on 'scale' and they made good money. Also in 72 knew a guy in Salmo with truck and pup that hauled concentrate/ore from there to Trail. One long trip per day.
