Id be pissed at that forklift operator... Lost count how many times he hit that side rail. Clearly didn't care about your equipment or his... Good job on the air leak - finding air leaks are my nemesis, getting good at it, especially with my old 80s equipment! Stay safe Dan! Btw that place you delivered.... Not my favorite to deal with! Thru there more than i want to admit

It's great to see that you take very good care of your Rig. As out here in the Seattle Area we hear all the time of Rigs that are just GARBAGE, and should not even be on the road at all. Being two Port Cities (Seattle & Tacoma) and all the Cargo container ships that we have coming and going, but the Truckers or there company's just do not do there up keep to keep the trucks Safe!!

They call those fittings push to connect fittings. They are more like push to leak fittings. I like the old school compression style fittings. They hardly ever leak. If they do you usually just tighten them with a wrench and you then good to go.

Great video as always , just discovered an issue with my Peterbilt. (384 , similar to yours only shorter wheel base then 386 ). I thought it was my hood making noise but turned out it was loose bolts on both inner fender liners on front fenders. Tightened them up and the front end rattling went away. Just wanted to put that out there. Keep it safe and await next video , my son is 6 and we watch together. He loves watching you tarp loads. I tell him Dan works harder then I ever do swinging doors ! Ya, but double stack them on the ground instead of on trailer.
@williamfrancis45455 жыл бұрын
@@ssr4656 Does it matter? Never bothered me. Just get them off the trailer.
@tywinters94625 жыл бұрын
William Francis yea it does matter. Unevenly distributing weight constantly to the trailer and causing it to tilt to one side more than the other will wear bushings out prematurely.
@ssr46565 жыл бұрын
@@williamfrancis4545 well one extra bump against trailer per two pallets, one more chance for pallet to come apart on trailer, a chance for more damage to trailer at higher levels, and probably could think of other reasons why it would not be my preferred method of unloading,I have hauled brick quite a bit and have never been unloaded like that, If you pick a pallet off the trailer does it not make sense to remove that pallet completely instead of trying to re-stack it back on the trailer, just my opinion but I would rather have the forklift operator do his re-stacking on the ground.
@williamfrancis45455 жыл бұрын
@@ssr4656 If you payed attention he never came close to bumping the trailer. I think Dan has been there before and the operator probably knows not to bump the trailer. Sorry but you aren't the only one who's pulled a flatbed.

You are bright in a way, that I could never be--taught myself how to write Japanese, technical stock trading, quantitative analysis, html, who can do a complete set of building plans and specs, databases, tournament chess, sales management, or market analysis--whatever. But I am a tiny insect, next to you. To be able to fix things, deal with belts and couplings, never. You are a giant in a practical world, run by machines and devices. When the real SHTF moment comes, leaders of tribes will be trading and leveraging all their assets to trade for four doctors for just one of you. Essential knowledge in a world certain to fail, as we are currently going. A wizard of practicality and the stuff that runs the world, as it currently is.

I quit watching almost all the other u tubers too much bs and drama you be safe out there brother cause accident is just a word till it happens and safety never takes a holiday .

Just found your channel & subscribed I’m a independent owner operator. We look at things differently, however you & I have a lot of the same goals. I always look at ROI (return on investment) if I put a $10,000 down payment on a truck what is my return? I usually make around 200% to 300% return on my 10K after paying myself & all the truck bills. I then use that return to invest in rental property, I’m not rich but it does work for me.
