No idea how meta it is, but I made a Malefic/Earthbound hybrid deck that I play all the time with my friends and they work really well together. Basically combo depends on opening hand, but the win cons are either just pure damage otk from the Malefics, or blowing up the field with Earthbound Geo Grasha, and if that goes away, I use the whale as a backup. But both me and my friends don't use hand traps, omni-negates, or floodgates, since we agree they're just super toxic lol I did make the deck back when the new earthbound support was added to Master Duel, and made it to the top of gold before I got sick of fighting the same 3 decks over and over, and that was with like a single ash and max c as my only meta cards.

Again I don't play hand traps or a lot of meta cards, and this is an irl deck I use with friends so like we all use pot of greed and stuff, but there are definitely cards you can take out to add staples in, like the Geo Kraken or Gryphon which don't get summoned much, and pot of greed you could just replace with max c or something. Extra deck 15: 2x Earthbound Geo Gremlin 2x Earthbound Geo Grelina 2x Earthbound Geo Grasha 1x Earthbound Geo Gryphon 1x Earthbound Geo Kraken 3x cyber end dragon 3x Malefic Paradox Dragon 1x Topologic Bomber Dragon - Main deck 43: Monsters: - 3x Earthbound Stone Sweeper 3x Earthbound ground keeper 3x Earthbound line walker 1x Earthbound Immortal Aslla Piscu 1x Earthbound Immortal chacu Challhua 3x Malefic Cyber End 3x Malefic Paradox Dragon 1x Malefic Paradox Gear 1x Malefic Parallel Gear 2x Malefic Rainbow Dragon 2x Rainbow Dragon 1x Malefic Truth Dragon 1x Malefic Stardust Dragon Spells/Trap: - 1x Solom Strike 1x Harpy Feather Duster 1x Raigeki 1x Terra forming 1x Earthbound Prison 1x Earthbound Geoglyph 3x Malefic World 3x Malefic Territory 3x Harmonious Synchro Fusion 3x pot of greed (really this can be any draw cards) The deck is primarily going second focused, since it can't really stop anything if someone pops off, but Geo Grasha can blow up the field as long as it kills something, and you can easily get 8k+ attack from having 2 Malefics on the field at the same time for pure damage win.

@ I’ll probably just swap out Pot of Greed for 2x Maxx C, and 1x Time-Tearing Morganite

@@ThespianDevil I hope you enjoy it lol. I love the deck, it's a ton of fun, and I was pleasantly surprised to see how well my two favorite Archetypes worked together. The Earthbounds help carrying the Malefics weakness to field spells and such, and the Malefics are a pretty easy big monster you can get out for high rank xys and stuff too. I just don't play any of those, but there are definitely some more meta extra deck cards you can make work with it.
