This was easy to do and I've never even changed my own brake pads before. I cant believe I put 700 miles on those shitty brakes 😅. The multi color ones were the only color I could get shipped quickly. Black would have been 2 weeks so I paid $50 but I don't even care cuz I saved a $100 in labor and they look good. Thank you for saving me money again!

They should've done that. I had these and the heat will become a problem, especially with these heavy e bikes.

I ordered them. I've never had hydraulic brakes before, but I always hear people talking about bleeding their brakes, and I know they need mineral oil, so I'm not sure how these work. I'm just taking your word for it because you know more than me lol. Thanks again

Bought these in July of 2024, installed before the end of July. I roasted them by the end of August 2024. I have a Cycrown bike that ways 75lbs. I ride enthusiastically. They were definitely better than the crap mechanical brakes it came with, but for aggressive riding, these will die fast. And then u will find out that they have a proprietary bleeding screw and you're screwed. I haven't written off the idea of a hydronic caliper, but the HB100 are absolutely NOT the best choice, and a full hydronic conversion would be about 275, all said and done. It's not a lot of money, but for a 1k bike that has. Happy front and rear suspension. I'm not sure i want to pile more money into the bike. Anyway, if you're going to try a hydronic caliper, try one that is NOT the HB100. To bad this content creator either didn't test the caliper like they should or don't care about anything beyond clicks on their videos.

Hydraulic piston has more mechanical advantage over mechanical actuated brake and pads are slightly larger then most cheap mechanical brakes
@MiniLuv-19846 ай бұрын
I was thinking of doing this too and then started puzzling why calipers would make any difference? I can understand a larger disk rotor, but calipers running the same size brake pads? Clearly new hydraulic calipers do make a difference, but why? Any thoughts on the matter welcome!

Hydraulic pistons have better mechanical advantage over mechanical pistons and pads are larger then stock pads
@Ucceah4 ай бұрын
what @BRichSolution said. plus both brake pads are moving, not just the outer one, like on cheapo standard disk breaks. which makes them wear unevenly, requiring frequent re-adjustment, and causes ever new unpleasant noises. eliminating that pain in the butt alone is worth the upgrade.

@@BRichSolution I want to buy them but I see a lot of people complaining about almost dying since they suddenly fail
@nerve.3 ай бұрын
Unfortunately they won't last, especially on an E bike, too much heat and no "vent". I've had 4 of these and all failed within a year on my Engwe ep 2 pro that has a 28mph max. The problem with these cable actuated "hybrid" is no reservoir and no small vent to help heat escape from the fluid. Over time, the fluid will get fouled, leak out, and eventually no brake power. It happend to me on a ride & lost Complete braking power to my rare wheels.

Hey, I've been watching your videos and commenting on them, and them helped me tremendously over a year now. On my ouxi v8 48v 15ah battery, not the updated version, the original without the passenger seat. The receiving part of the battery sparked due to some moisture, I guess, and it slightly melted the chsrching port. Luckily, this part is unscrewable and can be replaced. I just haven't been able to find a replacement part anywhere. I do Uber eats. I need to keep making money to pay rent and feed my family. It would be nice if you knew of a store online to get it. I've messaged 3 stores, but they haven't ever responded.
@BRichSolution6 ай бұрын
Which part sparked on battery or the mount?
@chartchaser6 ай бұрын
@BRichSolution the circular part right under the on-off switch and now it ruined, so now I can't plug in my charger. I took apart the battery, and every thing is fine, and I unclipped the red and black wire connectiom from inside the battery that leads to the charching receiving port that you can unscrew and remove.

So many of these Chinese ebikes come with trash components. Most ebike owners that ride these cafe racers couldn't tell what a group set is, or a hub, or a headset. They just see 750w and 30AH and they're sold. Hence why most ebike manufacturers don't even list the exact components
