Dr Williams, It has been nearly 2 years ago when you performed this TCA peel. I am very interested to see how Margaret's skin progress after the peel application during post peel care and the outcome of this treatment on her. I hope you will kindly update the progress as anticipated. Thank you in advance.

FYI: He says in the description that the before and after at the end is not Margaret. With that being said, I did a 35% TCA peel way back in 2003, two passes, and I frosted just like that! Soooo painful!! I didn’t go near my eyes, but back then my eyes were fine. However, my results were nowhere near that good! I only did it once because it took me two full weeks to heal and look human again. Had I done three of these, say every four weeks, I may have had similar results...but the down time was just too much with the kids and running around. Regretting that now :(
@clawedbychristy6708 Жыл бұрын
You cannot do a 35% peel every four weeks…more like every two to three months…also 35% is very painful and lots of downtime and dangerous to do on yourself so I use like a 12% and about 4 to 5 layers every 6 weeks and it’s much easier a lot less painful…bearable and only about 7-10 days healing
@Brancononordeste8 ай бұрын
Look into the new bioreppeelcl13 and having it microneedled in. You can do it every week but will yield good results if you do 10-12 of them over the course of a few months. Your down time is one day because it is microneedled in and the chemical is working under the skin. Again, you will need more done, but it is a good way to get those results if you can’t have a lot of downtime.

@oscar-gaming5973 жыл бұрын
You can, but only by a plastic surgeon, please!! The neck skin is nowhere near as thick as the face, therefore, it burns much easier. I do home peels and have for years...I’ve never done my neck and eyes till recently...and my neck burned realllly bad! I use a much less strength there now. I just did my eyes but so far the skin that’s about to peel is very thin. I was too scared to go any stronger. I’d rather do a bunch of peels under the eyes and on the neck at a lower percentage than risk permanent scarring. Good luck!

Is it true that chemical peels may erase fine lines etc....in the long run the skin will be thinner and actually more prone to wrinkling?
@elizabethchamblin3825 жыл бұрын
No, I have had 2 and use Rentin A + a bleaching. Been using both for about 25 years. I'm 50. Lasers dry the fat out of your face.
@TheWilliamsCenter5 жыл бұрын
Great question! Chemical peels are a very good tool to help reduce fine lines. Skin thickness should not change after a peel. After the initial healing period, the collagen should be more organized and the skin appear more youthful when compared to the pre-peel condition. While they do reduce fine lines, they do not stop the aging process, so the skin will continue to form fine lines as the person ages

A huge bottle of Jessner and doesn't change cotton pad when reapplying to pad. That only tells me it will not be reused on anyone else, which is not my issue. I'm having a hard time finding an answer. Would a TCA peel help with lots of hypopigmentation spots from acne that was once in that area, like in this case the back of ones arms and shoulders? What strength would a person use if so? I've tried a jesners peel but it seemed very ineffective although it worked wonders on my face. I've done several intense deep 2.5mm dermaneedling sessions on these hypopigmentation marks on the body but it didn't seem to do much.So I'm curious about a TCA peel.
@TheWilliamsCenter5 жыл бұрын
Great question! After a chemical peel, the skin regrows or heals from the underlying pilosebaceous units. These structures are highly concentrated in the face, which is why the face tends to respond very well to chemical peels. Other areas of the body have fewer of these structures, therefore chemical peels tend not to work as well and have to be performed very carefully.

Additionally, she may be a bit younger than the woman in the video which means smoother healing, and often a better result. it also may not be a great sign if a patient allowed him to film something this intimate, yet would or could not return for/ provide a good follow-up photo.

I did 100% TCA over my entire cheek area. I feathered in lesser amounts of TCA (50-70%) on the rest of my face and neck. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS WITHOUT DOCTOR SUPERVISION and do not recommend this for darker skin!!! You will need to take antiviral and antibacterial oral meds starting 2 days prior to your peel. Use Retin A for ten days prior to the peel, then stop about four days before your peel. Use 91% isopropyl alcohol to clean everything including the table and all tools. Have a clean bowl of 91% alcohol wipes at the ready. Wash your face, then gently scrub your face with 91% alcohol. Then apply 5% lidocaine to the face and leave on for 20 minutes. Wash the lidocaine off and gently wash your face again with 91% alcohol. Let it dry, add Vaseline to your eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes, then you are ready to start the chemical peel. Use triple gloves and replace them often. Ideally it's best to lie down and have another person apply the acid who has read and watched everything about TCA peels. If you are doing it yourself, then make sure the gauze is not dripping any acid. Do the peel in sections. Ideally for a lower strength TCA peel, four layers is good. But for 100%, I would do no more than two laters. TCA will self neutralize after five minutes. After the peel, wash your face with a gentle cleanser, soak your face in clean ice water, and then apply aquaphor or Vaseline. After your peel stay indoors, rest, and stay cool. Make sure your hands are clean when putting them into the Vaseline jar. For a week, continue this cycle of washing, soaking, and using petroleum based covering. After a week you can try to use other lotions and oils, see what works best for you. I used Vitamin E, Palmers vitamin E face oil, Cerave, hyaluronic acid, coconut oil, emu oil, aloe vera, lotion with copper peptides, then I added a light layer of Aquaphor or Vaseline as the last layer. You can start using Retin A ten days post peel which will heal your skin quicker and it will help with the acne you might get from the skin detox purging. You can occasionally lightly massage your skin, it will increase blood flow and healing. Otherwise keep your hands off of the face. You might get lymphodema which is a fluid that leaks out of your lymph nodes on your face, just wash it off and apply more petroleum based product. If you swell too much you can take ibuprofen and use compression bandages for a few hours a day until the lymphodema goes away. After a while your skin will begin to itch take a benadryl and use hydrocortisone cream. This will take one month or more to heal, but could take up to three months to fully heal. This 100% TCA is only for disfigured faces. PLEASE DON'T DO THIS WITH DARK SKIN AND WITHOUT DOING TONS OF RESEARCH! My TCA peel removed all of my large pores and rolling acne pitting.

@@zackgro8440 would you mind d if I ask you some questions? I am having blepharoplasty done next week. I wish I knew about TCA a LONG time ago but I waited too long, now opting for surgery. I’m not sure how long I need to wait before doing TCA on eyelids but I will wait the proper time. When I start what % should I start with and ultimately work up to??
@zackgro84403 жыл бұрын
@@gwenandreotti5817 You just need to wait until the wounds have healed. When they are no longer pink and raised (fresh) that's when you can do TCA. Wait at least 8 weeks after blepharoplasty if you have an external incision. To start with TCA for the first time, opt for 15%. You will want to get numbing cream just because it's not worth dealing with burning especially closer to 30%. You will need to do higher percentages to treat deeper wrinkles, pigmentation, fine lines etc. TCA will help diminish scar appearance but you need to treat the scar first and protect from the sun.

Never ever seen anyone put on anesthesia for TCA! Only phenol peels. Why put her through the toxicity of anesthesia?
