I’ve seen my 8 yr old son shoot 2 bucks at just under 100 yds with that Hornady load. Broke one shoulder both times and devastated the heart and lungs before passing clean through with a nice, uniform exit. Both ran under 50 yds. Good stuff!!!

I am glad to see the 350 legend groups. I have an AR 15 upper in 350 legend and will expect decent groups. Your grouping encourages my enthusiasm for caliber. The Rossi is impressive. Nicely done.
@scottmccullough70Ай бұрын
I’ve yet to see a 350 that didn’t group well. My daughters ruger American will consistently group 150gr deer season XP well under an inch.
@todsimpkins8908Ай бұрын
AR's tend to be less accurate than bolt or single action....but still should be close to 1 in groups with a good barrel.
@BrianWhite-q5xАй бұрын
Yea I got and 16in 350 cmmg barrel and put together and upper during the koof. It shoots the win 145gr fmj right at and inch and the win Deer season 150gr just under and inch. It's and picky round to reload and I'm working on a few different combos. Now I'm looking at the 400 legend for my next build.

All copper bullets need to be shot from a clean barrel in order to establish possible max performance. This quirk of all copper bullets has been noted and tested several times by several people. The group you got today is still valid because it shows what's possible if you "mix and match" but it doesn't indicate the possible performance of the ammo when fired from a clean barrel.

Rossi is making some fine rifles. They are now chambering the .444 Marlin which to me is the ultimate straight wall cartridge. I have a Savage Axis LH in .350 Legend. It appeared that the casings that split had what appeared to be a "kerf" that was rolled back as if they were being cut with a saw blade. It seems to me the only way that is possible is for the chamber to have a deep channel in it or there's excessive space in the chamber around the casing. Out of spec cartridge o.d. If the cartridge is not undersize, empty the laod and see if the inner wall is compromised.

8:33 Even though the caliber doesn't float my boat it interested me so I wanted to see this one before I make my assumption, about the ammo it's self and why it was cracking,seeing you said nothing about case cracking in this testing I imagine that the cracking may have been just with that lot of ammo, most likely the brass was too hard and coupled with looser chamber tolerances the brass could not fireform properly under pressure and instead of expanding under pressure it cracked,😮

Surprising that such a light framed rifle can turn out groups that good. People get so used to seeing you shoot those tiny groups with mmidsized and heavy framed rifles and most will underappreciate a .70 group with this gun. Honestly i have never been that impressed with copper bullets when it comes to anything over .30 caliber. I know some like them but my opinion on copper bullets for black powder shooters is a lot of deer have been wasted with them. Meaning they failed to meet design proformance due to lack of velocity. Then when you give a big hanking piece of copper the velocity it needs they dont group well. Just my opinion but backed by thousands of rounds shot by many many people at our sporting goods store.
