$350/month house rental in Cebu, Philippines!

I rented this house in Naga City, just outside Cebu City in the Philippines, with ocean and mountain views for right around $350/month!

What a nice place for a $350 rent. I suggest planting some mosquitoes repellent plants in a pot on the patio like lemongrass rosemary, marigolds.

My American friend lives in Naga also..... Has almost same townhouse 2 bed 2 bath (same quality) as you, only with a bigger foyer upstairs (second living room)...... But doesn't have that great roof top like yours.... He pays $200 a month..... But I think that roof top is worth the extra $150..... Nice place!

absolutely for 350 bucks.. that's lucksurey.. where can we live in U.S. here for that price? I'll be going home soon have my own house either build one or buy one.... no need lot's of room.. it will be same as this with roof top but it'll be modern :)

The NAGA AREA looks like a great spot to live in.... I am a American Expat 🇺🇸 living in the Province of Balamban in Cebu.... I am a 65 year old N.Y.C. 🇵🇷 BRONX BOY and a RETIRED US ARMY VETERAN. The first year (2018) of living in the Philippines 🇵🇭 I lived on Lapu Lapu in a very nice 2 bedroom apartment located in a Gated Community of FABRO HILLS (Located right by the foot of the NEW * MARCELINO BRIDGE going into Mandaue). In the late 2019 my Filipina 🇵🇭 Wife and I moved up into her home town in the Province. I was raised as a CITY BOY but *I've always loved country living.... Hi Kendall, great first video. The roof terrace really makes that house! Has your dog gotten used to the stairs to the roof terrace yet? I for one would be interested in seeing more videos around Naga City. It sounds like a great compromise between Cebu City and further out in the province. Oh, BTW... I think it really depends a lot if it is a rental (of course it will depend on the rental cost) or a house that you build. My primary bathroom is 10 sqm and many have said it is bigger then their bedrooms. My house 150 sqm and people think it is big. I always say it’s only an average size house.

That's a very cheap rent for that big house. I just don't like the bathrooms because there is no shower room. You take a shower/bath next to the toilet, not for me. I don't like the bathroom floor gets wet. The kitchen also is very, very small. It doesn't have a place for everything we need in the kitchen.

I think I can furnish a 2 bedroom under 2k. reason I ask is how much of your stuff will you leave there when you start to move around the philippines. that's what I want to do also. If I can do it under 2k divide by 12 then rent would be 520 for a year. second year at a discount.

You CAN have your stuff shipped between islands for less than 2K USD. You have it trucked to the port, it gets packed in a shipping container, and put on a ferry and shipped to the new island. Then you have it unloaded and trucked to your new house. I think the channel That Philippine Life talked about it when they moved to Iloilo.

I pay 18k plus 1500 for security and garbage here in Collinwood subdivision Lapu Lapu for 3 fully furnished bedrooms so I’m wondering why so expensive it is in Naga for unfurnished? My house is a bungalow with car garage and garden area so no stairs no climb.

Wow! You got a great deal! I looked at a place in Collinwood when I was in Lapu2x. There was nothing available like that for under 30k. I guess market changes as situations change. Who knows why you got such a good deal. I arrived in Lapu2x in July of 2022. I looked everywhere! There was nothing I would have lived in for the price you’re paying. Good for you!😀

It's as fast and reliable or unreliable as it is in the states, if you're in the city. If you're just outside the city, get a backup service with another company.

3:12 Hope your decision to move around the Philippines doesn't change. Especially with the recent Israel Hamas War. Try to avoid certain areas in Mindanao. Hamas and Hezbollah have supporters there.

@curtisthomas8025 Unless you're Filipino, you can build and own the house, but you can't own the land as a foreigner. Your wife can own the land in which case it's advisable that you get an attorney to draw up the contract so she can't kick you out of the house if the marriage goes south. This happened to a number of expats who were caught outside the country when COVID hit and they were not able to get back to the Philippines until after the country reopened. If you don't have a wife and you want to build a house, you'll have to take out 50 or 100 year lease on the land. Now, you CAN own a condo outright. Hope this helps you in your planning.🙂
