35004 Cunard White Star Sets Sail At Eastleigh 3/12/16

The well-known railway author and antiques expert Paul Atterbury, was given the honor to officially name the new 10¼in gauge replica of No. 35004 Cunard White Star in its final rebuilt form at Eastleigh Lakeside Steam Railway on the 3rd December 2016.
The locomotive, built in Jesse Moody’s workshop with the assistance of Barry Eden. The original locomotive was withdrawn in 1965 and scrapped at Eastleigh 50 years ago in 1966.
We see the locomotive at the naming ceremony and on its first passenger run. Also featured are 21C1 Channel Packet & 850 Lord Nelson both built by Jesse Moody.

I first went there when my son was small around 14 yes ago and we enjoyed it so much. And then we kept on turning up after many visits through to Eastleigh station . Even now I still like this little line. Nice set up lovely locos and this is a good video with the unveiling day. Thanks for what you've achieved and for sharing this video

Excellent....many thanks indeed! It's also most appropriate that the miniature Merchant Navy class is running within a very short distance of the old Southern main line. I've enjoyed several rides on the Lakeside line and I'll certainly return! Regards, Rob.
