I have the same setup only non ic pump and stock injectors. My hx35 has a billet wheel and a larger exhaust housing off an hx40. My seat of the pants Dyno says 350hp ish. Great video nitrous is where it’s at I guess.

I would definitely consider it, like I commented below I think non intercooled trucks are much more prone to it as they seem to be a little more spicy in stock form. On those im 3 for 3 on tuning them, bumping timing and doing a 3200 spring and fuel pin and popping the headgasket within the week

The factory P265 intercooled nozzle is 6x0.010"

@@GavinHuke No you had it right it is 6x .009 is factory IC VE 5x.012 is the same as a 370hp but yours have the correct spray pattern versus the wide angle the 370s have.

Might as well fire ring it now while the head is off. Head gaskets are a weak link on 12valve with out them. You are giving me hope my crew cab might actually make 400rwhp. Are you dynoing in direct or overdrive? Your torque numbers seem low for the horsepower

Yes direct drive, if we load the piss out of the truck it only gains a couple hp but it picks up 50ftlbs or so. I figured 711 was a decent torque number but it's still a bit low for sure. I'm tempted to put non ic pistons in it while ive got the engine out. It'll get fire rings for sure, my other engine is already all done up so I might as well have them both done

@@GavinHuke I like the bowl of the non ic pistons better. I feel like my 89 burned cleaner with bigger injectors than my 92 motor.

Soooo, you mentioned you had pulled timing, should you have added some? Also is 1 tooth close to "pushed to the head" as far as without taking the nut and gear off. Also what size turbo what you recommend with that size injector on a manual truck?

Yes I added some after that pull I just didn't put it in the video, it made the same peak power after I added timing but it lost 60hp below 2300rpm and got a lot smokier down low. And yes one tooth is a little less than stock tooth and to the head. I'd recommend a 60/67/9 hx35r from Fenley Precision Inductions or from Savage Fabrication. Realistically this stock hx35 would work but not my preference

Its not about the boost number to blow the headgasket, its the combination of timing and cylinder pressure from the nitrous. There's 3 non intercooled first gens that came to me that were bone stock and all I did was a 3200 spring, fuel pin, tuned the pump, and bumped the timing and all 3 within a couple days blew the headgasket. The fact this one held up as long as it did blows my mind
