4:06 Installing the air shaft into the upper tube. Aren't you supposed to make a minimal distance between Piston and Neg Plate BEFORE installing it into tube ? You know, to decrease the negative chamber air ...

Are you telling fox how to service their own fork… once you add your incremental pressure you will equalise positive and negative so makes no difference.

@@AnotherMrLizard do you know how many flaws are there in Fox products? In other brands' products? So, yeah, i'm ASKING if some steps should be done while doing some procedure..

@@ka81alex any noise on anyone’s bike with a fox fork is a “creaking csu” any issues with performance are blamed on “excess grease on the spring” etc etc. As long as the pressure is added properly and the fork cycled in between this is a non issue.

Great video. Is there any rebuild video for DPX2 rear shock?

help Is this correct mounting with so much air in the negative chamber? mounts with air spring shim on negative or mounts with vacuum?

I was thinking the exact same!

Great Video. I have a question: I did the service of my 36 Fox Float 160 (R type) and I used the 20WT Oil. I read that for a Fox Float, 30 ml of Oil is needed for both damper and air spring side. But I have a doubt. Is it correct the quantity of oil or not? Thank you in advance for your answer. Greetings from Switzerland. Max

30 ml for damper and 10 ml for air

Why would I need to do this procedure? Not holding/leaking air? Can I do the first part of this video if I have air trapped in the negative chamber. My air shaft is completely sucked in with no air in chamber

Hi Bill - Yes, just remove the retainer ring and pull the shaft out to release the pressure. Might be a blocked port as to why there's pressure trapped in the negative side. Or it might be that you dropped the air out too quickly. Either way, no big issue and takes 30secs if you already have your lowers off

Buy an overpriced fox damper removal tool... scratch your brand new fork. 0:50. Got it.

@@RobertJonesSilum Just did that (not upside down, I used a socket between the original nut and hammer), remember to unscrew the nut (or posh Fox tool) every few taps.
