375 - The Hunt for Shiny Absol - 6 LIVE Shiny Pokemon in X and Y! (including the scary horde)

So many shinies in one video!! Every single phase in my hunt for Absol is included in this video. This is the first in a series of hunts in which I will look for Shiny Absol in every generation it's available in! (3,4,5,6)

The biggest tip I can give you if you know it will be a long hunt: gather all your favorite music into one giant playlist (make sure you're okay with getting tired of it lol). Gym leader and boss battle music is my favorite for hyping me up

I was playing X/Y and I found 2 back to back random shiny absols, they were the best pokemon on my team, the first to reach level 100, one was mega, one wasn’t... so yeah, it’s one of my favourite pokemon, and I have about a box full of shiny absols (and about one and a half of mienfoo)

I've been trying that Synchronoize Noctowl trick since 2014 but I always ended up with the Shiny Zangoose (and 500 wingdrols) anyway Major congrats on these multiple neat shinies :)

Someone's probably pointed this out already, but a possibly safer method of dealing with those self-aggressing hordes is a Gardevoir with Skill Swap and the Telepathy ability. Give Telepathy to the Zangoose/Seviper/whatever you want to catch and it'll evade all attacks from its own side. Then pick off the others one by one and you're good.

congrats. shiny absol is awesome especially when its in mega form. I have one as well. got him fron a friend safari after 7days in a dark safari trying for mightyena. and also it had its hidden ability. (I got the mightyena on the same day, 5 encounters)

SquishyPanda Thank you! It's not synchronize, it's the move synchronoise, which only hits Pokemon that are the same type as the user. Noctowl using the move can knock out all the Zangoose without hurting the Seviper

You could have used a smeargle. You could make it learn false swipe, plus it could learn syncronoise, and its a normal type, so it would have worked.

You can breed a ralts with telepathy as its ability and the move skill swap and use it on the zangoose. With that ability, it can't get hurt by the Seviper :)
