In this tutorial I am demonstrating a Straight Pour and I'm going for those big, juicy boulder cells. This is a 18x24in. Arteza Premium canvas. The paints I am using are Artist's Loft Aqua Green, Decoart Americana Decor Matte Metallics in Aged Bronze, and Metallics in Copper and Bronze. The decoart metallic paints are known to create cells without silicone. They are some of my favorites paints to use in straight pours.

I’ve been hooked on paint pouring for almost a year now. 50 gallons of flotrol and God only knows how much paint later, I’m just starting to get a feel for the art. Beautiful painting, lovely colours. 💖 When pouring the colours from up high they didn’t land in the middle of the cup but near the pouring spout and I think that is why it has colours more on one side rather then being evenly distributed which adds to the uniqueness of the painting IMO.

Oh, I love it! It looks like our Outback Desert after the rain. The aqua colour is the colour of the water at some of our far north beaches too but they have pure white sand. It is perfect the way it turned out. Thank you. ❤️

I wish you would show the dry painting at the end. It always looks different when dry and I love to see the dry result.

If they change from the final shot, I do show them. By the time I do the wrap up, it’s been sitting for hours. They do appear dull when dry, because I’m using matte paints, but once varnished, they look the same as the final shot.
