I love the fact that the guy who plays the mayor initially says no to donating and gets a dirty look because he's busy writing a massive cheque to give to Gander

Going by the rest of the play, the only USAmerican character played by that actor is the one who was shitty to Ali back in On The Edge. I like thinking they're the same character, because it strengthens the play's message that kindness and compassion can be found in everyone (the Newfies' insistence that "you woulda done the same!"), even if some circumstances make some of us jump to hatred and aggression before understanding.

Hands down, best musical ever. Best song ever. This show was simply amazing. Perfection really. Walked away from it with faith restored in humanity and the strength of the human spirit. Just beautiful.

First time I saw this at the end (there is no intermission) everyone in the audience just flew to their feet as one, clapping and cheering. I’ve never experienced anything like it in the theater.

How many of us cry in this musical. I especially cried when Bas sang "No, I'm fine Tom, I'm fine...."

Jen Collela has the absolute best "vocal cry" in the industry and this number has some of her best work.

We did this song in a small CFA revue for an assessment called 'swing project' at uni. We learned 4 different tracks and we had to do 3 runs for the assessment. During my last run, it took all my willpower to not cry. CFA always makes me cry. My first ever West End musical, cried as soon as I stepped into the theatre. I literally love this show so much.

The pressure valve release of the line "No, I'm fine Tom, I'm fine" is palpable. So well acted.

I'm a lighting nerd. It occured to me when the stage went red for takeoff how beautifully blue the show is. Like that day (so weird what a gorgeous day that was)

Somewhere in the Middle of Nowhere and the reprise represent successfully overcoming the hardships created by the 9/11 attacks and Jenn's parts really sell it.

Had to revisit this--I just saw a college production of Bright Star (different show, I know) that utilized a very similar staging style, with rustic, simple tables and chairs organized to look like bars, offices, trains, cars, etc--I'm a sucker for this style of staging. I think it looks amazing and takes so much choreography and practice by the actors.

I'm too young to remember 9/11 and I first heard this soundtrack when I was 14 or 15. It's the mark of an amazingly written show that it can make someone who doesn't remember the event and as an Australian middle school kid doesn't know much about it emotional. As an adult, it still has the same effect and I was lucky enough to receive a ticket as a birthday present from my grandparents to see it in June 2023 when it came to Australia. It was my first time going to see a show alone (I recently moved away from my hometown) and man it was so worth the awkwardness - hearing the soundtrack is one thing, but seeing the actual emotions on people's faces is something else entirely

I love this song. I finally seen it in Cleveland and welll these songs look soo good on here bUttttt you have to be there in the theater when they come together because this show goes on and no intermission. So it weaves into each song and scene. But on the tour to Cleveland are set did not tourn or route like this set does. buttt it was soooo amazing to see it finally.
