Vipassana is one of India's most ancient techniques of meditation that is now taught all around the world. To learn the technique, you are required to dedicate 10 days in one Vipassana centres around the world and adhere to some precepts such as noble silence. I learned a lot of valuable lessons about myself and life in this experience. Today, I'm sharing a few of those lessons. I would encourage everyone to learn Vipassana if it feels right and calls out to you. It was something that sounded crazy to me when I first heard about it but one day it just felt right and I went with it. It is one of the most transformative experiences of my life and I'm grateful that it is freely available for anyone who wants to learn.

Thank you for sharing! I went to Vipassana 20 years ago. I experienced a lot of freedom but unfortunately did not practise. I'm intending to go again in April this year.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I attended a short course again one year after my first Vipassana and found it quite challenging to be fully present. I would recommend if going again to do another 10 day if you have not been practicing. All the best!

Thank you so much for this video. I couldn’t watch all the way through. as I see, it is kind of a spoiler alert. Although I may experience it differently. I do in fact, plan to do this Vipassana on my up and coming journey. Nevertheless, I’m definitely going to check out more of of your videos as I am intrigued to do so. Many thanks and Namaste.

Thanks for your comment! It certainly isn't like a retreat where you might expect it to be relaxing and a getaway. It's a lot of work but incredibly valuable!

There are 5 precepts you undertake for the duration of the course when you attend: to abstain from killing any being to abstain from stealing to abstain from all sexual activity to abstain from telling lies to abstain from all intoxicants. I attended Vipassana as part of Dhamma so food is provided for and it's all vegetarian!

Thanks for your comment. Vipassana is a technique of meditation and means to see things as they really are. It is indeed possible for us to open our minds and consider teachings, philosophies and other ideologies without having to buy into the religious doctrine. It is also possible to see and understand the value of Vipassana without having to practice Buddhism or agree with everything it teaches.
