38cc motorized bicycle engine kit FULL REVIEW

there are pros and cons to this kit but for how expensive it is, to me it's not worth it. I wouldn't get this kit if you are looking for a reliable source of transportation for everyday use. if all you want is a short road trip bike it may work but 4 the money you can get a better quality bike for cheaper than this one

I have the same kit. The bearings won't last because flex in the U channel put a side load on the bearings when the skewers are tightened. I added spacers to keep it from flexing inward when tightening. Problem solved. Also the roller diameter is too big for that engine. I ground mine down to just under 1 inch. Huge improvement!

So could you get a Carpenter square and see if the motor mount is flush I suspect the bottom there's a quarter inch Gap? Friend just got one now the factor said it's used and want him to send pics showing it has a gap

I’m thinking about getting the 48cc flying horse friction engine and possibly a solid rubber tire for the back, do you think that that’d be worthwhile or unnecessary?

Hey how’s it going I like you’re video it gave me the inspiration to build the staton kit I’m using the 38cc 4 stroke honda clone like yours. It came with no manual and get no reply can you remember how much oil it takes every one says it’s the same as honda 35 but my small engine mechanic says it maybe different because the cc is higher the crank case could be a little larger

Besides it's a friction drive set up so it's technically not a chain to rear wheel so it honestly does not matter how big the motor is as long as it's a friction drive setup

I have the same motor but the throttle is stuck or something because when I start it the wheel starts spinning without using the throttle how do I fix this?

I'm looking at buying my second friction drive kit, and have never had a problem other than wearing through tires. It's a friction drive DUH. This kid is talking about how the cheap Chinese two stroke kits are better, then shows us his highly modified setup saying it costs less. I call BS on this kid. While the BBR engine is a Chinese Honda knockoff, it's not going to self destruct like the two strokes are known for doing.

so 20 miles on 16 ounces of gas. That's 40 miles to a quart. There are 4 quarts in a US gallon. So 160 miles to a gallon. not bad.

I bought this same kit. Very poor quality. Drive roller is much too large in diameter, clutch drum on friction drive unit didn't line up with the engine well. Bought a Staton friction drive kit and used the engine from the bike berry kit. Awesome setup now. Staton kit is very good quality. .937 diameter drive roller. I installed a smooth rear tire and now the tire wear is very minimal. I get 15 miles to a tank. Carb did need an adjustment, was too lean from the factory. Love this setup. Have 500+ miles on it now.

I have the same kit on a folding bike and I agree the roller diameter is way too large. I ground the roller down to about .9" which works pretty well.

I seen my friends before he hooked it up..Told him the bearing was not free and it looked off the main frame that the motor bolts to. These things are junk dont get one had no instructions nor parts list one bolt missing for clutch house junk I say.

I got the same set up, but had to buy most of the bolts at the hardware store cause Bike Berry burned me! Also no instructions. You can watch bike berry video from a young man that has only about a 75 word vocabulary and calls bike parts etc by wrong names? Don't buy

Yup they be junk friend hammed on for hrs to make work best he can.. Shaft that runs on the tire had no snap ring on inter bearing. It still doesn't free wheel like should..But it's more free then before.. Seems china dont ship parts lost nor instructions...Seen a video on a hawk cycle no parts list no instructions . In the end the guy said just go buy a older used bike be better off or get it and put in trash after breaks down...The motor be a good motor just the lack of good craftsmanship on the stuff that bolts to it..

Telling people that it is "legal" just because you say so, is ridiculous. There are many local and state laws all over the country and world that can regulate the use of these modified bicycles. You are in no position to give advice on this subject. Think before you speak, youngster.

Most states are legal for 49cc and lower so whats wrong with him saying that everybody will need to know there state law but u saying he should say that 49cc are legal there's nothing wrong with that

So, if people go by what you say, they will be talking to the cops sooner or later. Giving out bad advice is not going to help anyone.
