Dude you picked a different bike from the one the kit was created for. Then you cried like a sissy throughout the video. You stated the problems you saw, but bought no hardware to compensate for the bike you have. In effort for a smooth install. Based on what I saw in your video. Not sure why anyone would ever watch another one of your videos. Or even finish this video. Get a life dude.

I have the 49cc huasheng in frame kit with a 7g trans. Been running it for almost three years now... Thousands of miles. I much prefer it to the 2-strokes because it's waaaay more reliable. The 2 strokes are fast and fun to tinker with, but it's always something. Using it as reliable transportation is questionable.

The problem with this is that you lose the pedal angle and need wide pedals instead. This is totally bummer as a person who is used to driving a bicycle will keep hitting the engine with his/her foot. Putting the engine on the back was a really nice approach, gg

Yeah I ordered some wheels from bike berry working fine so far and liking them, thing is when I ordered the wheels it was just supposed to be the wheels and a sprocket. I ended up with the wheels, sprocket, and it came with rotors and calipers(no instructions no cables or levers). About a week later I seen the ad on my phone and they changed the picture to include the calipers and rotors. That's cool but it would've been nice to know. I'd just say if you're using bike berry you're definitely rolling some dice. The reality edit was perfect.

I found most of those friction drive housings have the holes for the roller misaligned. That is what causes the clutch issues. I had to cut the steel in the housing bracket and reweld it to get the roller aligned. Plus the clutch bell/drum is a weak point. They fail early and oten. Easier to make your own if you want it right

Yeah that's awesome You guys built her bike. I always wondered about those friction drives. I'm only halfway through the video right now but I had to giggle. I was thinking, Oh God he smoked the clutch And hasn't even got it to fire up yet haha . Maybe just oil off the exhaust from the factory or something? I had a lot of problems like that with my buddies 49cc 4-stroke on the Cranbrook. I'll tell you what though that thing surprised me it keeps up with a stock 2 stroke . Had a bunch of trouble with the clutch the bolts were too long that hold the pads in Oh, it would keep engaging By itself. The bronze spacer On the flywheel with bad that's a special thing you have to soak in oil overnight haha . I think it would be cool on a BMX bike or something small Or Add it to one of your two strokes And probably never have to Pedal again . She would probably like the 49 4-stroke It's super simple , easy to ride and fun . I'd probably look at a 79 but I'm not familiar . I'm glad you did this thanks

A Staton kit and a Honda GX engine is the way to go. Expensive yes. But you get what you pay for. I have one mounted on a Sun women's bike, with straight (not curved) frame tubes. I'm a guy, but I'm disabled, and I can't get my leg over the top bar of a men's bike, so it was my only choice. This was a single speed bike, and was geared to high for me to pedal enough to get it going. I swapped out the front crank with one from a mountain bike with a really tiny inner sprocket, and put the chain on that sprocket. I also had to replace the front fork with one I could install a brake on. and lastly, I installed a gas tank from some kind of landscape equipment (I don't know what exactly, I found it in the junk pile at work and it fit) on top of the engine mount bracket, just slightly higher than the carburetor. The tank was designed for a vacuum operated carburetor mounted on top. So I had to weld a rectangular plate on top of the tank, cut a round hole in it, and weld in a filler. I drilled a hole in the bottom of the tank and welded in a bung to attach the fuel line to. None of this was unexpected, I had been designing it for some time. When I had it all working properly, I disassembled it and painted the bicycle frame, engine mount kit, and gas tank. It looks factory built, and over the last few months it has worked perfectly. Everything fit properly, nothing had to be rigged. I even fabricated and welded a thick metal plate to the bicycle frame to bolt the engine mount to, so it wouldn't crush the frame when the bolts were tightened, and could never move out of place. I have a Honda GX50 motor, and I expect this bike to have a long and trouble free life. It gets me to work and back every day.

Mine came with all the issues yours did, but get this... Where the engine mounts to the friction drive, one out of the 4 holes did. Not. Match. Up. I spent about an hour and a half hand filing it in to fit, since at the time I couldn't afford any other means to do so. It was so rediculous. And then came the issue of the big U Plate holding the friction spindle being way too thin so I had to go to the hardware store and get a thick bar cut to the perfect size and jam it in between the plates so they would stop causing uneeded pressure on the friction drive spindal bearings. It's been a year now and somehow it's holding up but I'm going to get a station friction drive kit and just put this 4 stroke onto that that one since that one is much MUCH more thought out and way higher quality. I suggest you do the same bud 😊

i have had a ton of experience with bikeberry and their support. The website is notorious for not having detailed info and will say that the factory is the one with the info. They do not spec out screws, bolts, threaded holes, diameters of parts, lumens or anything needed to source or repair parts. They are relying on people buying entire bikes with installed motors because on many occasions with many different representatives they said it would come with if you bought the entire completed bike. The parts they sell don't even necessarily fit the frames and bikes they sell. I have an F-zero frame and i had to mod or buy new hardware for basically every part. Just be aware it is a project when starting one of these especially from bikeberry.

Glad I found your video man, SAME EXACT ISSUES, no hardware, the long tensioner nut they show in their video has no studs that fit it in my bag, and the quick release doesn’t fit it, absolute trash of a kit I’m glad I got it from them on eBay so ebay will give my money back

Also how did you fix the issue cause right now mine just spins cause the clutch is locked, so I can’t even drop the engine cause the shaft is spinning so when it hits the tire it shreds the rubber or stalls the engine…

I ditched the friction drive and bought an in frame mount. Don't use bike berry's mounting kit... It's BADDDDddddd! unless you have a welder.

Why did you not use the chain and put it in the frame?

I like the 4 stroke but I think you got the wrong one. My opinion you should have got the frame mount chain drive.

Bike berry was a good company years ago. The problem is they have a supply problem. Many of there high end products like the 4 stroke engines are hard to get replacement parts for. I had one of there 79cc and I burned out the centrifugal clutch. I waited over a year watching for them to have them in stock. I gave up and got rid of the motor. There crank shaft was a size that I could not find the clutch from some place else. There was also a problem with the bike they sold me and said the engine kit would fit. I had to cut and drill to make it work. Even then it was never what It could have been. Until they work out all there supply and demand problems I would only go there for small end items.

Have you tried any other four stroke options? If you haven’t I’d say try it this kit doesn’t really do four stroke kits justice.

I ordered ebike kit from bikeberry with similar results. Incomplete kit and total lack of customer service. They actually told me to take it to a professional.

Different oils have different consistencies and it says on the oil bottle how much you should use per gallon of gas

This is a 4 stroke. Oil goes in the crankcase, not the gas.

By someone I was informed by someone that predecessors make it in 49cc or they made one but I haven't seen one yetI have looked also because I was informed it was already made but I cannot find one either but I've heard rumors that there sounds like the plan I'm building one or they already had one but I have not been able to find it

O man Bikeberry striks again! I Bought the other Four stroke kit that they sell. The drive gear on the transmission Wouldn't work with a 415 chain. I sent them two pictures They stopped Responding to my emails after that.

You can use a seat post mounted gas tank if she needs a women's bike, granted having a motor with no bar above it might be worse, your call

You got a bunk one or you set it up wrong or went to hard on it while the break in. And you can put a pump on it. You just mess with it to much and end up fucking it up because you are tripping on a noise or something wired

It seems the energy transmission between that drive wheel and the bicycle tire is very inefficient and maybe a four stroke with a direct drive transmission to the rear wheel may have better performance but then again...why? Why when you can get so much more power out of the small and easily modified two stroke options? Even when theyre absolute JUNK you can still make em decent with a little ingenuity and elbow grease. Im sure the same holds true with a four stroke kit but they havent made one cool lookin enough or with a comparable price point for me to give one a go.
