A fun fact: Johnny Storm and Deadpool in the Latin America Dub were voiced by the same actor, Pepe Toño Macías, at the same time. That's because he is the recurring voice for both Chris Evans and Ryan Reynolds and he was able to voice them even when they were interacting. Finally In the Dub version, after Johnny's fate, instead of mentioning the budget, Deadpool said "I was so confused hearing that voice".

There’s a scene where Wade asks her if she’s seeing anyone and I don’t remember what she said but she did state that “He hasn’t gotten her shot yet”. @3Cfilms the Dafne Keen cameo makes sense when you remember what the void is according to Loki: a trash heap at the “end of time”. Time is relative to the TVA, so even though she’s still alive in Deadpool’s universe, at the end of time (the void) she has been pruned and that’s why she’s there. Technically, if you think about it, all of the X-Men from the Fox universe were probably somewhere in the Void, but we have never known how big it is

After watching the movie I’m convinced Avengers 5 is now gonna be called “Avengers Vs. X-Men”. In that movie there will be a big multiversal incursion where the MCU begins to merge with the universe with Beast from the end of The Marvels, and that will be where all the old Fox X-Men actors return. Just seems perfect to me. Really hope they announce that at Comic-Con tomorrow.

I assumed the reason X-23 was in the void was because they had already pruned the Fox-Verse, but later it was restored after Deadpool convinces the TVA to "help his friends." I assumed that was also why the giant Fox logo, Elektra, the og villains, and Johny were there. I just hope Johny was saved 😭

3C you're the best. Honestly man you're a huge inspiration. Deadpool and Wolverine was great, my favourite cameo in the film would be either Wesley Snipes as Blade or Channing Tatum as Gambit. I would give the film a 9/10. Congrats on making it to the premiere. Keep up the good work 3C and enjoy the Wolverine popcorn bucket.

I love the fact that they didn’t just give Hugh Jackman the Yellow & Blue suit just for fan service (which was phenomenal) and for the sake of it, but that it was a tribute to his fallen x Men.. just thought it was a nice little gesture

Wesley Snipes Blade popping up caught me off guard, but I was surprised mainly because I actually predicted that scene during the beginning of the movie. I was imagining Deadpool making a reference to Wesley’s Blade since Blade kick-started the Marvel movie franchise. And because Ryan played Hannibal King in Blade: Trinity.

I just saw the movie for a second time today and I definitely don’t think Wade was the one who broke up with Venessa, maybe it was mutual but they rarely are truly mutual. From Venessa’s line at the party “He hasn’t gotten me shot yet” and when Wade was interviewing for the Avengers, he frames it like it’s to save his relationship. It seems like he just felt inadequate for a long time and when the Avengers turned him down, it made him more despondent and that led to the breakup. I think him wanting to save all his friends and rebuild his relationship was a pretty good motivation in my opinion, especially because the main reason he was turned down was because he wasn’t doing it for others like a true hero would. That arc was some real hero stuff that I enjoyed!

They didn’t explore it enough and weren’t any solid sub-text. It could’ve been good motivation but they didn’t take the time to
@JakeyJones3 ай бұрын
@@Dizcreti What I just described is what subtext is. It wasn’t said outright, but felt in the acting and dialogue we had. The subtext was the unsaid in between the lines that the characters and us can understand and don’t need said aloud. When Venessa says “He hasn’t gotten me shot yet”, the subtext is that Venessa still holds that against Wade. When we get the flashback and Wade says “Just say you don’t want me and I’m gone”, then there’s a shot of Venessa’s expression as she says nothing. The subtext is that she loves him enough to not say that to his face, but he’s been so distant and “gone” for a long time that she’s not happy with their relationship. This is followed by Wade reading that same subtext and saying “shit”. Then when Cassandra Nova alters his memory to have Venessa say “you’ll never fucking matter”, it goes to show that she understands how to hurt him the most in that moment. I thought the subtext in this movie was done amazingly well. There’s more than just that scene too, there’s the scene with Happy, the diner with Wolverine. He talks about her a lot. I think what people wish the movie had done better is have a more cohesive through line. Deadpool as a character often feels like he’s turning his motivations off and on depending on how funny the current plot beat needs to be.
@Dizcreti3 ай бұрын
@@JakeyJones I know what sub text is but I do gotta say you made some good points. I still think it’s a bit sloppy and inconsistent. Good movie either way

Here’s why I think Deadpool’s motivation works in this movie: Deadpool lost Vanessa in the last movie because he was still a mercenary contract killer, and that brought the people to his home who killed Vanessa. Deadpool 2 ends with Wade saving Vanessa and having a second chance at the relationship. Deadpool also learns by the end of the last movie that he can’t keep being a killer if he wants to be a better person and keep a family in his life. But of course, Wade can’t just stop being Deadpool because it’s all he knows how to do. So he tries to put it to good use by joining a team of heroes, so he can call himself a hero without knowing what it means to be a hero, but of course the Avengers say no. So now he’s caught between a rock and a hard place where he wants to do better but feels like he’s not allowed to, and because of this, he closes off and pushes Vanessa away emotionally, and loses her anyway; it’s like a “be careful what you wish for” consequence to him saving her at the end of 2. Wade’s journey is about learning to move forward with his life and finding solace in his failures and allowing himself to earn a second chance, just like Wolverine.
@miketrapper04643 ай бұрын
I gotta say Chris, i think Deadpool’s actual motivation isn’t necessarily he wanted to be an avenger, I think it’s more so that he wanted to feel like he mattered or wanted to feel important for Vanessa
