It is so fitting that the trailer starts with Superman next to dead. Almost like the trailer is saying, we know, it feels like all hope is lost, the world is horrible. Then the rest of the trailer is him getting back up and that hope slowly coming back. It really is something I needed right now.

The concept of Superman’s overall arc potentially being the savior of “what it means to be a hero” and showing other hero’s how to do it right is an awesome story point to hit. It sounds super unique and something we haven’t gotten in super hero movies. We always have the hero figuring that out themselves, but no hero preventing wrongful vigilantism. Superman is perfect for that.

I like how they made Clark and Superman look like different people. The hair styling and glasses with the deminor actually make it hard to tell they are the same person. James Gunn long ago earned my trust. I have no doubt this is gonna be a fun, well made movie with a lot of heart. Cause that's what he does. The one worry I had was Krypto. It just sounded too goofy for a 1st DCU movie but as soon as Krypto does the dog butt up in the air pose, I was in. This seems like exactly the starting point the new DCU needed.
