Here's something I'm throwing to the wind that might end up a genius idea: Have Eggman Nega, from the Rush and Rivals duologies, take over after finishing the story of Jim Carrey's Eggman in this thrid movie. Think about it, this allows us to "recast" Eggman without really recasting the character we've been following. This makes for a excellent connection for Silver the Hedgehog and Blaze the Cat since he's their nemesis on those game duologies. And this even allows us to have a central figure for the new trilogy like Carrey's Eggman was while opening up the space for other villains(Maybe with major celebrity actors headlining them) to take the spotlight, like Metal Sonic, Mephiles, Infinite, the Deadly Six, the Hard-boiled Heavies, Dr Starline, Mimic, Surge & Kit, Chaos, Sage, even those big monsters like Dark Gaia, Solaris, The End, etc. This feels like the most natural and clever way to continue the Sonic movies without Jim Carrey's Eggman.

From the way it is designed it looks more like a space suit more than just lab wear, the collar looks like a helmet would attach to it giving the oversized look to it. It would also make sense since the last act will probably take place in space.

Theory: The game accurate suit that Eggman is wearing in the poster belonged to Gerald Robotnik. It’s possible that the two of them board the Ark and find it amongst his old belongings

There's an explanation given in the Sonic comics that explains why Eggman looks different from the classic sonic games to the modern ones. That being the modern one is a clone and the original died. I wonder if they will do something like that here. Maybe Jim Carry's Eggman gets killed off and they bring in a clone for the next movie, now played by a different actor.

Bowling centers are missing a huge opportunity to not have sonic bowling balls where it’s painted or even textured slightly with tiny grooves mimicking the hair and quills to look like him when he’s doing his spin ball attack. Like u can’t tell me otherwise it wouldn’t be fun and genius marketing for pin stack or main event to have Sonic, tails, shadow, and knuckles bowling balls. Now we need Sonic 3 to get a PG-13 rating due to Shadow’s backstory and his dark side. ( I even heard that one of the co-writer originally wanted the first film to receive a PG-13 rating before it went for a family-friendly PG instead). - Probably give it a 2hrs & 15-20mins run-time. -If Amy Rose and Silver The Hedgehog both appear in the mid credits scene, have Amy be voiced by either Anna Kendrick or Miranda Cosgrove and have Silver be voiced by either Tom Holland or Ryan Reynolds if they’re interested. And if Metal Sonic appears, have him be voiced by either Josh Brolin or Vin Diesel? - I also hope they do Sonic 4 soon and also give it a PG-13 rating
