just need a help: when I finished my 3d paint the texture and then copied the same model for a different design but the same layout size for texture, how do I change the texture. it seems that when I change the texture of copied model it also changes the texture of the first model.
@polygonpen2 жыл бұрын
If I understand right, you should work on ain a new scene, so textures won't change.

When do you use Arnold and when Octane? Because I fell in love with the ease of use and easy photorrealism of Arnold but it's too slow on my PC... So now I use Redshift since it's a bit similar to Arnold (in the UI). But I don't like much the results I'm getting. I have to fiddle around a lot. The only thing better in Redshift than in Arnold is speed in myu opinion... I thhought about switching to Octane, but I've seen videos and the workflow of it seems very ugly... Do you think it's worth to switch? I will continue using RS as hobby, for stylized stuff. But for realistic stuff I don't know if stick with Arnold or invest hours learning Octane...
@polygonpen Жыл бұрын
You should absolutely use octane, it looks a little complicated but you get used to it after a few projects, you will save a lot of times because it takes a few clicks to get realistic results.

I have looked for many tutorials but no one teaches how to make a muckup using arnold render and photoshop.
@victorsuazo47043 жыл бұрын
I would like if you could teach with this model how to render each part of the box and turn it into a muckup in photoshop, that would be great .... Help help bro.
@polygonpen3 жыл бұрын
Just rotate the box or camera, then render and save as, try to change package artwork by importing a new one then scale/skew/wrap the new artork to match perspective, you could try that.

Hi! amazing tutorial, but I have a question, I'm trying to put a transparent pattern on the box (im trying to put a pattern in a frosted plastic box), but when I paste the transparent pattern image in the material, it doesn't work, a white background appears, I would be so grateful if you could help me :))
@polygonpen Жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you very much, transparent materials need an alpha image to be transparent ( Black and White image ) materials have a slot for that, it is called Alpha or Opacity, you need to put a alpha texture to these slots, if you use a single PNG with a transparent background, it is not gonna work.
@melissaperezpuga30 Жыл бұрын
@@polygonpen Thank you for answering!, yes I already done that, I'm trying to put the pattern as a label with cutout opacity in a plastic material but when I do this, my pattern looks like fade, do you might know what I'm doing wrong?

@@melissaperezpuga30 I don't unfortunately, you can check out label placement tutorial on KZbin, I believe there is a good one on Greyscalegorilla.

It looks good but inefficient, just think if you have to animate the box to how it's wrapping up or unwrapping, you can't do that.

@polygonpen2 жыл бұрын
